Overview
A covered pedestrian deck leads directly from Makishi Station to Daiwa Roynet Hotel Naha Kokusai-dori's second-floor lobby in about one minute. No street crossing is needed. The hotel occupies the upper floors of the CARGOES complex at the eastern end of Kokusai Street, where shops and places to eat continue west from the door.
All 258 rooms and the lobby were refreshed for a February 2025 reopening. Several room types for pairs, families, and longer stays were added, expanding the choice well beyond a standard business-hotel double.
Rooms
Standard Double and Casual Twin rooms both measure 18.2 square meters. Standard Doubles have a broad work desk. Casual Twins use the same floor area for two separate beds, leaving less room for desk work.
At 27.3 square meters, Standard Twins can accommodate a third guest on an extra bed. Top-floor Moderate Twins add a microwave and a refrigerator with a separate freezer compartment. Superior Twins also have a small kitchen, which is the most useful setup for a longer stay.
The 52.7-square-meter Family Quad has four permanent beds and a microwave. Its bathroom separates the bathing, toilet, and wash areas, while all other listed categories use unit baths. That distinction matters when several people are getting ready at once.
Facilities
Self-service lobby lockers are available for bags before check-in and after checkout, while coin laundry supports longer stays. Microwaves, ice machines, drink vending machines, an amenity bar, and free in-room Wi-Fi cover everyday needs. CARGOES also has a convenience store and car-rental counter downstairs.
The affiliated car park has about 60 spaces and a height limit of 2.2 meters. Spaces can't be reserved and are assigned on a paid, first-come basis. Drivers should use the entrance behind the building rather than looking for it on Kokusai Street.
Dining
The first-floor restaurant serves breakfast from 6:30 to 10:00 AM, with last entry at 9:30 AM. Its buffet features about 50 dishes, combining Okinawan cooking with familiar Japanese and Western breakfast choices.
Later meals don't need to revolve around the hotel. Restaurants and bars begin along Kokusai Street outside, while the covered arcades around First Makishi Public Market offer more local food choices about ten minutes away on foot.
Location and transport
The covered deck makes Makishi Station the simplest arrival point, particularly with luggage or in wet weather. It leads to the lobby rather than to a curbside entrance, and the station marks the eastern entrance to Naha-Kokusai Dori.
Kokusai Street runs for 1.6 kilometers through central Naha, lined with shops, cafes, restaurants, and bars. First Makishi Public Market is about ten minutes from the hotel, with Tsuboya's pottery workshops and small lanes just beyond the market area.
Airport access
Yui Rail runs directly from Naha Airport to Makishi in 16 minutes. From the platform level, the connected deck leads to the second-floor lobby in about one minute, avoiding both a train change and a street-level crossing.
The hotel estimates that the drive from the airport takes about 15 minutes, although central Naha traffic can alter that considerably. There is no advertised hotel airport shuttle.
Why stay here
A car-free Naha visit is straightforward from this location. Direct airport rail, city transport, shopping, restaurants, and bars are all available without relying on taxis, and the covered station connection is especially helpful on a first or final night with luggage.
The renovated room range also provides credible choices for families and longer stays. The Family Quad is the only listed category with a fully separated bathroom, while the Superior Twin is the option with a small kitchen. This is a downtown stay rather than a beach resort, and trips farther around Okinawa usually require a bus, tour, or rental car.
Good to know
Check-in begins at 2:00 PM, and checkout is at 11:00 AM. The main entrance is locked from midnight until 6:00 AM, but checked-in guests can enter with their room key.
Parking remains first come, first served, and its charges or operating details may change. Guests booking for three or four people should confirm the bed arrangement: Standard Twins use an extra bed for the third guest, while Family Quads have four permanent beds.
