Overview
Part of the Kafuna Asahibashi complex, Naha Tokyu REI Hotel is beside central Naha's main monorail and bus connections. A covered passage from Asahibashi Station avoids the main road crossings, while Kokusai Street remains within walking distance.
This is a compact city hotel, not a resort. Its main advantages are a guest lounge, breakfast from early morning, and straightforward transfers between the airport monorail and buses serving Okinawa Main Island.
Rooms
All 215 rooms are non-smoking. Standard Doubles and Standard Twins measure 17.9 square metres and have separate shower booths but no bathtubs. Doubles contain a queen bed, while twins have two single beds; both categories accommodate one or two guests.
Deluxe Twins measure 25 square metres and add a unit bath and wood-deck balcony. A sofa bed accommodates a third guest, and the upper-floor rooms have south-facing river views. The accessible Deluxe Twin has the same basic layout and is on the 12th floor.
Standard rooms keep things simple when a shower is enough. Book a Deluxe Twin if you want a bathtub, balcony, or third sleeping place.
Facilities
The fourth-floor guest lounge serves complimentary coffee, tea, hibiscus tea, and sanpin tea from 3:00 PM until midnight. Registered guests can also sample awamori during happy hour from 3:00 to 6:00 PM, and drinks may be taken back to their rooms.
Coin laundry, a microwave, and water servers are available around the fourth floor and guest floors. The laundry and microwave operate around the clock, which comes in handy on longer stays or after travelling between islands.
Dining
The guest-only breakfast buffet runs from 6:30 to 10:00 AM, with last orders at 9:30. A build-your-own morning taco is one of the more distinctive choices, alongside rotating Okinawan dishes, salads, breads, and Japanese and Western staples.
There isn't a full-service restaurant for lunch or dinner. The lounge serves drinks during the afternoon and evening, while Asahibashi and Kokusai Street provide a broader range of places to eat.
Location and transport
From Asahibashi Station's East Exit, follow the connecting passage toward Kafuna Asahibashi. The walk from the station gate takes about five minutes and leads to the hotel's second floor; reception is on the fourth floor.
Naha Bus Terminal is about three minutes away on foot and provides connections beyond the monorail corridor. Kokusai Street is roughly nine minutes away, keeping its shops and restaurants close without placing the hotel on the street's busiest stretch.
Airport access
Yui Rail runs directly from Naha Airport to Asahibashi in 11 minutes, with no transfer required. Allow another five minutes for the covered route from the station gate to the hotel.
The drive from the airport is estimated at about ten minutes, though traffic can affect the journey. During busy periods, the monorail is more predictable.
Why stay here
The direct airport line and covered station approach simplify a first or final night in Okinawa. The nearby bus terminal also helps with day trips beyond the monorail, and the lounge provides somewhere to pause outside the room. Standard rooms are compact and shower-only, so travellers wanting more space or a bathtub should compare the Deluxe Twin.
Kokusai Street extends for 1.6 kilometres through central Naha, with shops, cafes, bars, and restaurants spreading into its side lanes and covered arcades. Staying in Asahibashi keeps that activity within walking distance while prioritising airport rail and the bus terminal.
Good to know
The hotel has a confirmed closing date. Tokyu Hotels will end operations after breakfast and check-out on September 30, 2026, so stays beyond that date won't be possible.
Standard check-in begins at 3:00 PM, and check-out is at 10:00 AM. Drivers use the contracted Kafuna Asahibashi Parking Lot E opposite the entrance; check current charges and conditions before arrival.
