Overview
A three-minute walk from Iseshi Station and about ten minutes on foot from Geku, Sanco Inn Iseshi Station Annex Grande eases the logistics of a shrine visit for families and groups. The 37-room annex occupies the ninth and tenth floors of MiraISE, beside the main Sanco Inn building.
Every room is non-smoking and twin-bedded, but the annex isn't simply a larger version of the main hotel. It has its own front desk, Sky Lounge, and light breakfast. The public bath and full breakfast buffet are next door in the main building, so guests use both buildings during their stay.
Rooms
Rooms range from the 25.7-square-metre Casual Twin for two guests to the 52.2-square-metre Premium Twin for up to five. Standard and Moderate Twins add options for extra guests, while the Wide View and Corner View Deluxe Twins can accommodate as many as six. Depending on the layout, additional guests may sleep on an extra bed, sofa bed, or futon rather than identical permanent beds.
Two Standard Twin rooms can be booked as a connecting pair. Other choices include a Universal Twin and one-off concept rooms developed around Imuraya and a Mie Kotsu bus. Separate bathing and toilet areas are especially helpful when several people share a room.
Facilities
The ninth-floor Sky Lounge looks across Ise and serves complimentary drinks and sweets in the morning and from mid-afternoon into the evening. An amenity bar, six pillow choices, self-service luggage storage, and coin laundry handle the everyday details.
The public bath isn't in the annex. Guests may use the artificial mineral bath in the neighboring main building, but getting there requires going outside. Keep that in mind if a bath is an important part of your evening routine.
Dining
Breakfast in the annex is intentionally light: a complimentary croissant set from a local Ise bakery, served with coffee and juice in the Sky Lounge. Annex Grande guests receive it even on room-only plans, and they may take the food back to their rooms.
For a larger meal, a Japanese and Western breakfast buffet is available for a fee in the main building. The annex doesn't have a full dinner restaurant, though restaurants and cafes around the station and along the approach to Geku provide nearby evening options.
Location and transport
The hotel is in Iseshi Station and Geku, about three minutes from the station's south exit on the JR side. JR and Kintetsu share Iseshi Station, supporting regional rail trips toward Futami and Toba as well as Kintetsu limited express journeys to and from Nagoya, Kyoto, and Osaka.
Geku is about ten minutes away on foot. Naiku, Oharaimachi, and Okage Yokocho are in a separate part of Ise, so take a bus from the station or Geku rather than treating the two shrine areas as one long walk.
Airport access
There is no direct airport train or hotel-door shuttle from Chubu Centrair International Airport. The clearest rail route is a Meitetsu train to Nagoya, followed by a walk to Kintetsu Nagoya and a Kintetsu limited express to Iseshi Station.
The final walk to the hotel is short. Leave enough time for the change between stations and operators in Nagoya, particularly when carrying luggage or traveling with a reserved limited express seat.
Why stay here
Larger twin layouts, luggage storage, and the short walk from Iseshi Station simplify a rail-based Ise stay for families and groups. The tradeoff is clear: the public bath and full breakfast buffet are in the main building rather than under the same roof.
Geku can be visited on foot before check-in or after leaving a bag, while buses continue to Naiku and its traditional shopping streets. This setup lets you divide the shrine visit into sensible stages instead of rushing between distant sights.
Good to know
The annex entrance and front desk are on the ninth floor of MiraISE, not inside the neighboring main building. Front desk hours are 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM, so contact the hotel if you expect to arrive late.
Paid parking is available on MiraISE's second and third floors. Have your parking ticket validated at the ninth-floor front desk, and confirm the current rate before arriving by car.
