Overview
Mishima Station's North Exit is two minutes on foot from Toyoko Inn Fujisan Mishima-eki. This side serves Tokaido Shinkansen arrivals and departures, while the short walk also helps after a late conventional JR train. Complimentary breakfast, self-service check-in, and simple rooms keep the focus on everyday travel needs.
There is a tradeoff. Rakujuen, the Sunzu Line, and most of central Mishima are south of the tracks. A free hotel shuttle runs to the South Exit on a fixed timetable when operating, helping with sightseeing, dinner plans, and station transfers.
Rooms
Rooms are compact. Single and economy-double layouts measure about 12 square metres, while queen and twin rooms provide about 15 square metres. Both smoking and non-smoking categories are sold, so check the room type before confirming your reservation.
Wi-Fi, nightwear, and a unit bath are standard. Twin rooms have two separate beds, while double and queen categories use one shared bed. Heartful Room B provides an accessible layout; contact the hotel if you need a particular setup or piece of support equipment.
Facilities
Self-check-in kiosks streamline arrival, and self-service luggage lockers can help before check-in or after checkout. The hotel doesn't have the public bath or leisure facilities found at some other Mishima hotels. The focus is narrow: a room, breakfast, and the station.
Drivers can use a paid mechanical car park with 92 spaces. Parking is first come, and limits apply to vehicle height, length, width, and weight. Bus parking must be reserved separately with the hotel.
Dining
The complimentary buffet runs from 6:30 to 9:00 AM. A lighter bread-and-coffee service begins at 6:00, which helps when the day's first train leaves before the full buffet opens.
Staff bake croissants, pies, and French bread each morning. Drip coffee made with Mishima water sourced from Mount Fuji adds a small local detail to an otherwise straightforward breakfast.
Location and transport
Mishima Station's North Exit serves both the Tokaido Shinkansen and JR Tokaido Main Line. Hikari and Kodama trains stop at Mishima, but Nozomi services don't, so check the stopping pattern before planning a tight connection around the two-minute walk.
The free shuttle reaches the South Exit in about five minutes when it runs. Seats are first come, departure times are approximate, and service may be suspended on some dates. The South Exit is the better side for the Sunzu Line and the beginning of the central spring-water walk.
Beyond the tracks, the wider Mishima Station Area leads toward Rakujuen, Genbe River, the shopping streets, and Mishima Taisha. Allow extra time to reach them from the hotel rather than treating the North Exit walk as the distance to every part of central Mishima.
Why stay here
Two-minute North Exit access and breakfast from 6:00 take some pressure off an early Shinkansen departure. The paid car park can also support an overnight stop before continuing by road, though the rooms and facilities remain deliberately simple.
Mishima itself is still within reach. When the shuttle timetable works, take it to the South Exit and follow the spring-fed paths from Rakujuen toward Genbe River and Mishima Taisha. Staying north of the tracks requires a little more planning, but it doesn't rule out time in the city.
Good to know
Check-in begins at 3:00 PM, and checkout is by 10:00 AM. The free shuttle doesn't run continuously, may fill before departure, and can be suspended on particular dates, so check the current timetable.
Parking is paid and first come, not guaranteed with a reservation. Travelers visiting soon should also review current hotel notices, as renovation work and temporary facility closures may affect stays through early September 2026.
