Overview
Near Nippori's fabric shops, Almont Hotel Nippori is about five minutes on foot from the East Exit of Nippori Station. The Yamanote Line connects this part of northern Tokyo with major shopping and sightseeing districts across the city.
Public baths open in the early morning and again later in the day, while the breakfast buffet features local dishes. Room choices include singles for solo travelers and twins or triples for those who want separate beds.
Rooms
Moderate Semi Double rooms measure 17 square meters and have one 140-centimeter-wide bed. Moderate Twins have 21 square meters and two beds, with more floor space for two travelers. For three adults, Triple rooms measure 29 square meters and contain three 120-centimeter-wide beds.
Most rooms have a shower booth rather than a bathtub. The exception is the 22-square-meter Universal Semi Double, so check that category if you want an in-room bathtub. All guest rooms are non-smoking.
Facilities
The third-floor public baths have separate men's and women's sections and use mineral-treated water rather than water from a natural hot spring. Overnight guests can use them free of charge. Hours are 4pm to 1am and 5:30am to 9am.
Coin-operated laundry machines are located inside the bath areas and are available only during bath hours. Plan your washing around that schedule, especially before an early departure.
Dining
Hanamomi, on the second floor, serves hotel guests a Japanese and Western breakfast buffet. Tokyo dishes include Fukagawa-meshi, a rice dish with clams, and pudding made with honey from the Tama area. The menu varies with the season and available ingredients.
Breakfast runs from 6:30am to 10am, with last entry at 9:30am. Check whether it's included in your room rate. The restaurant doesn't serve lunch or dinner, so you'll need to eat elsewhere later in the day.
Location and transport
Use the East Exit when walking from Nippori Station to the hotel. The five-minute walk begins at the exit, not at the train platform.
JR Yamanote Line trains run directly to Ueno and Tokyo for sightseeing and onward rail connections. The same line reaches Ikebukuro and Shinjuku without a change, although those western districts are farther away.
Airport access
From Narita Airport, take the Keisei Skyliner directly to Nippori, then walk to the hotel. All Skyliner seats are reserved. Allow extra time to leave the Keisei platforms and reach the East Exit.
From Haneda Airport, take the Tokyo Monorail to Hamamatsucho and change to the JR Yamanote Line for Nippori. This journey requires one train change.
Why stay here
The public baths give you somewhere to soak even if your room only has a shower. With breakfast in the hotel and direct trains around Tokyo nearby, you can leave for the day without first finding a cafe.
Tokyo-Nippori is worth exploring between train trips. Nearby Fabric Town has individual shops selling cloth, buttons, and sewing supplies to retail shoppers as well as wholesale buyers. If textiles are part of your trip, leave time to browse several stores.
Good to know
There's no hotel car park. Check-in starts at 3pm and checkout is at 11am, but the front desk can store luggage before check-in or after checkout if you'd like more time in the neighborhood.
