Overview
Shin-Yokohama is Yokohama's bullet-train and arena district, not its waterfront center. Daiwa Roynet Hotel Shin-Yokohama is located about four minutes on foot from Shin-Yokohama Station and three minutes from Yokohama Arena, so train times and event schedules are easier to manage.
The subway journey to Yokohama Station takes about 11 minutes, keeping the city's busier shopping and sightseeing areas within reach. The tradeoff is location: Minato Mirai, Chinatown, and the bayfront aren't outside the door, and travelers focused on those neighborhoods may prefer to stay farther south.
Rooms
All 163 rooms were refreshed in 2025 and now have smart TVs. The 18-square-meter Standard Double covers the basics for a short stay, while the 24-square-meter Corner Double leaves more breathing room for luggage around the entrance.
The larger twin rooms address different needs. A 30-square-meter Deluxe Twin can accommodate a third guest with an extra bed and includes a microwave and freezer. The 32-square-meter Executive Twin more clearly separates the work and sleeping areas. Wide desks and individual air conditioning are standard across the room categories.
Facilities
Coin-operated washers and dryers are available around the clock on the third and seventh floors. They're particularly welcome after a long journey or during a multi-night stay. The hotel can also hold luggage on the day of arrival or departure.
Drivers have 20 ground-floor parking spaces, allocated without reservations on a first-come, first-served basis. If you're arriving during an arena event, have a backup parking option in mind.
Dining
Tavernetta Salvatore on the first floor serves breakfast from 6:30 AM to 10:00 AM, with last entry at 9:30 AM. The buffet combines Japanese and Western staples with Italian dishes. Yokohama-style Napolitan adds a local note, while margherita focaccia and grilled vegetables continue the Italian theme. Bread, salad, soup, and fruit round out the selection.
The restaurant also opens for lunch, cafe service, and dinner, a useful fallback when event crowds fill nearby restaurants. It isn't only for leisurely mornings. Guests catching an early Shinkansen can have breakfast and still reach the platforms without a long transfer.
Location and transport
Shin-Yokohama Station brings together the Tokaido Shinkansen, JR Yokohama Line, and Yokohama Municipal Subway Blue Line. Tokyu and Sotetsu services add direct connections toward central Tokyo and western Kanagawa, giving the hotel a broader role than a one-night rail stop.
Yokohama Arena is the closest major venue. The Shin-Yokohama Ramen Museum is about five minutes away on foot, while Nissan Stadium is roughly a 15-minute walk, depending on the entrance. Together, they give the surrounding Shin-Yokohama Station Area a clear focus before and after events.
Airport access
Direct airport buses run between Haneda Airport and the Shin-Yokohama Station bus terminal. The journey generally takes about 35 to 50 minutes, depending on the airport terminal and traffic, followed by a walk of roughly five minutes to the hotel.
This is a station-to-airport service, not a hotel-door shuttle. For an early flight, late arrival, or trip with bulky luggage, check the current timetable and allow for road delays.
Why stay here
An early Shinkansen departure becomes simpler from here, and a concert doesn't have to end with a cross-city journey. Yokohama Arena is close by, with Nissan Stadium and the Ramen Museum also within walking distance.
The room selection extends beyond the smallest business-hotel layouts, and the restaurant serves meals beyond breakfast. Couples, colleagues, and small groups can stay near Shin-Yokohama's transport links without sacrificing every comfort for the location.
Good to know
The hotel is close to the station but isn't directly connected. The walk is outdoors, so rain, luggage, and event crowds can make the short distance feel longer.
Shin-Yokohama Station and Yokohama Station are separate hubs. Check which one your train uses before booking or arranging a meeting. Shinkansen services call at Shin-Yokohama, while Yokohama Station is the broader local interchange closer to the city's main shopping districts.
