Transport access and hotel guide

Overview

A 6:00 AM breakfast and a roughly five-minute walk to Yokohama Station make early departures easier at Four Points Flex by Sheraton Yokohama West. The hotel has 156 compact rooms, coin laundry, and a 24-hour front desk for straightforward short stays.

The west-side location in the Yokohama Station Area is close to department stores, casual restaurants, and several rail networks.

Rooms

Single, double, and twin rooms range from 14 to 27 square meters. That's a meaningful difference, especially for two guests or anyone carrying large bags. Check the dimensions of the exact category before booking rather than choosing by bed name alone.

Facilities

Coin-operated laundry is handy on longer trips or when Yokohama falls between other cities. Vending machines and ice and water dispensers cover drinks and simple late-night needs, while the front desk remains staffed around the clock.

Dining

Tonkatsu Matsunoya serves breakfast daily from 6:00 to 10:30 AM. Four Japanese or Western set meals are available, and service begins before many nearby cafes open.

Breakfast isn't complimentary, and Marriott Bonvoy benefits don't apply at the restaurant because it operates as a tenant. There is no room service.

Location and transport

Yokohama Station serves JR, several private railways, the Minatomirai Line, and the municipal subway from one large complex. JR and private rail routes handle trips toward Tokyo and Shinagawa, while the Minatomirai Line continues toward Minato Mirai and Chinatown.

For Tokaido Shinkansen services, take the Blue Line to Shin-Yokohama Station. Yokohama Station has no Shinkansen platforms, which matters when planning an early bullet-train departure.

Airport access

Keikyu trains connect Yokohama Station with Haneda Airport in about 20 minutes. There is no hotel airport shuttle, so the journey begins with the roughly five-minute walk back to the station.

Narita Airport is considerably farther away. Narita Express trains and airport buses take about 90 minutes to reach the Yokohama Station area. YCAT is on the east side of the rail complex, so allow extra time to cross from the hotel's west-side location when using an airport coach.

Why stay here

Early trains, late arrivals, and rail day trips are the clearest reasons to stay. You can have breakfast from 6:00 AM, reach the station quickly, and use the laundry between longer journeys.

For sightseeing, the Minatomirai Line runs toward the waterfront and Chinatown. The west side provides plenty of everyday shopping and dining, but not the bay views or evening walks found in Minato Mirai.

Good to know

Housekeeping is scheduled twice a week rather than daily. The hotel is fully non-smoking and has no on-site parking, so drivers need to arrange parking elsewhere.
