Overview
A basement passage leads from Highland Resort Hotel & Spa through Lisa and Gaspard Town to the amusement park entrance, about five minutes away on foot. Guests can enter the park 15 minutes before regular opening on both check-in and checkout days. This is early admission, not priority access to individual rides.
The hotel is in the Fuji-Q Highland Area, next to Fujiyama Onsen and directly beside the highway-bus terminal in the parking area. Park tickets, luggage services, meals, bathing, and transport are all close together, keeping the logistics of a ride-focused stay simple.
Rooms
The first decision is the view. Grand Executive and standard categories face either Mount Fuji or the amusement park, with layouts ranging from single and double rooms to twins and suites accommodating as many as six guests. Mount Fuji-facing suites occupy the upper floors, while park-facing rooms overlook the rides and evening lights.
Concept rooms offer a different experience. Current themes include Thomas, NARUTO, Lisa and Gaspard, and Fujikyu Railway, with occupancy ranging from one to six guests depending on the category. All guest rooms are non-smoking.
Facilities
Admission to adjacent Fujiyama Onsen is included from check-in through checkout. A covered passage reaches the onsen in about two minutes, giving guests access to its hot-spring baths and sauna without arranging a separate transfer. Hotel guest hours apply, so it isn't available continuously throughout the day.
Luggage storage and parking are complimentary during the stay. Guests may leave bags or park before check-in and continue using both services through checkout day, which helps preserve a full park day on either side of the hotel night. The parking area has 200 spaces.
Dining
FUJIYAMA TERRACE serves buffet breakfast, lunch, and dinner on the fourth floor, with seating oriented toward Mount Fuji or the amusement park. Its live kitchen and broad buffet selection provide a straightforward option before or after time in the park.
MACARONI CLUB serves Italian dishes and bakery items, followed by bar service later in the day, while Kokorogi specializes in Japanese meals. Shanghai Saikan is a reservation-based private dining venue. Meals aren't included with every booking, so check the selected room plan carefully.
Location and transport
Rail travelers can use Fuji-Q Highland Station on the Fujikyu Railway. From Tokyo, the usual rail journey runs through Otsuki. Guests arriving at Fuji-Q Highland Station can call the hotel for pickup during published shuttle hours, and a free loop bus also connects the resort area with Fujisan and Kawaguchiko stations.
The highway-bus terminal is directly outside the hotel. Current services connect the Fuji-Q Highland stop with Shinjuku, Tokyo Station, Yokohama, Haneda Airport, and several regional cities, allowing many guests to arrive without transferring to a local train.
Airport access
A direct highway bus currently runs from Haneda Airport to the hotel-front terminal, with an approximate journey time of two hours and 15 minutes. It avoids a rail transfer when the timetable works, but check the current schedule before relying on it for a flight connection.
Why stay here
A park day can begin before regular opening and end with the gate, restaurants, room, and onsen all nearby. That compact setup is especially helpful when traveling with children, booking a themed room, or carrying enough luggage to make another transfer inconvenient.
Fuji-Q Highland combines major thrill rides with Thomas Land and other family attractions. Mount Fuji-facing rooms and the neighboring onsen give guests a way to step away from the park without arranging another trip.
