Overview
Hotel Forza Hakataeki Hakata-Guchi is three minutes on foot from Hakata Station's Hakata Exit, keeping Fukuoka's main rail hub close without placing guests inside the station complex. The surrounding Fukuoka-Hakata area works especially well for Shinkansen arrivals, airport transfers, bus travel, station shopping, and short stays in Hakata.
The name is worth checking carefully. Hotel Forza has three hotels in the Hakata area, and this is the Hakata-guchi location, not one of the Chikushi-guchi hotels on the opposite side of the station.
Rooms
All 113 rooms are non-smoking. Main room types include 18- and 19-square-meter doubles, a 27-square-meter Relaxing Twin with two beds, and a 21-square-meter Universal Room. The double categories are similar in size, with differences coming mainly from selected in-room features such as massage or refresh equipment.
Forza Double, Refresh Double, and Healing Double rooms each accommodate up to two adults. The Relaxing Twin gives two travelers more space, separate toilet and washbasin arrangements, and a bathroom with a washing area. The Universal Room is designed for single occupancy and includes accessibility features.
Facilities
Facilities are geared toward a comfortable stay near the station rather than a resort-style setup. The hotel has a front desk, a first-floor restaurant and lounge, a multipurpose toilet, a second-floor coin laundry, and an ice machine. Guest rooms include Wi-Fi, wired internet, Simmons beds, humidifying air purifiers, ReFa shower heads, and power or charging support.
There are no smoking rooms or smoking booths inside the building. Guests arriving by car should also plan ahead, as the hotel does not provide dedicated or affiliated parking.
Dining
Breakfast is served on the first floor from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM, with last order at 10:00 AM. The spread combines Japanese and Western staples with Hakata and Kyushu dishes such as mentaiko, chicken rice, game-ni, Hakata udon, and motsunabe.
After breakfast, the restaurant area becomes a free lounge for coffee, a short break, or waiting before returning to Hakata Station.
Location and transport
Hakata Station is the main access point. From the Hakata Exit, the hotel is about three minutes on foot and close to JR lines, the Shinkansen, the Fukuoka City Subway, Hakata Bus Terminal, and station-area shopping around JR Hakata City.
This location is better for transport-heavy trips than for a Tenjin nightlife focus. Hakata connects easily to Shinkansen services, JR Kyushu trains, the Subway Airport Line, the Nanakuma Line, highway buses, and local bus routes.
Airport access
Fukuoka Airport access is one of the hotel's clearest advantages. From the domestic terminal, the Fukuoka City Subway Airport Line reaches Hakata Station in about five minutes, followed by the short walk from the Hakata Exit side.
From the international terminal, travelers can take the free shuttle to the domestic terminal and continue by subway, or use a bus or taxi toward JR Hakata Station or Hakata Bus Terminal before walking to the hotel.
Why stay here
Choose this hotel if you want the Hakata Exit side to simplify flights, Shinkansen travel, buses, station shopping, and first or last nights in Fukuoka. It pairs compact but comfortable rooms with breakfast and lounge access, while keeping the stay centered on Hakata rather than Tenjin.
The Hakata side also offers more than transport. JR Hakata City, Hakata Bus Terminal, Hakata Old Town, Canal City Hakata, and quick subway rides to Nakasu or Tenjin are all realistic from here.
Good to know
Check the hotel name before following map directions. Hotel Forza has three hotels in the Hakata area; the Hakata-guchi hotel is on the Hakata Exit side, while the Chikushi-guchi hotels are across the station.
