Transport access and hotel guide

Overview

The hotel occupies a department-store block at the southern end of Nagoya-Sakae, close to the district's main shopping areas. Yabacho Station is about five minutes away, while Nagoya Sakae Station is roughly seven minutes away near central Sakae.

Shopping is the main draw. Matsuzakaya Nagoya and Nagoya PARCO are nearby, and Osu Shopping Street is about an 11-minute walk south. The hotel has 195 non-smoking rooms across 11 layouts, including twin rooms with bathrooms arranged more comfortably for two guests.

Rooms

Rooms range from 18-square-metre singles and doubles to 29.5-square-metre Deluxe Twins. Standard doubles have a unit bath, while Deluxe and Superior doubles separate the bath, toilet, and washbasin.

All four twin categories also separate these three areas. The Superior Twin can accommodate a third adult on a sofa bed, and selected categories add a massage chair, foot massager, face steamer, or clothing-care equipment. These extras aren't available in every room, so compare categories before booking.

Facilities

The third-floor guest lounge opens after breakfast and remains available until midnight. Free coffee is served from a lobby machine, and guests can use the self-service wine dispenser from late afternoon into the evening.

Every room has television casting, a humidifying air purifier, a multi-device charger, a refrigerator, and a kettle. There is no private hotel car park.

Dining

A paid breakfast buffet is served on the third floor from 6:30 to 10:30, with last orders at 10:00. The Japanese and Western selection includes Nagoya dishes such as miso katsu and the hotel's ankake spaghetti.

For lunch and dinner, the surrounding Sakae blocks offer department-store restaurants, cafes, and independent places to eat. Osu adds an even wider choice farther south.

Location and transport

Yabacho is the closest subway station and serves the Meijo Line. Sakae is one stop north, where the Higashiyama Line runs directly to Nagoya Station for Shinkansen connections. Alternatively, travelers can walk about seven minutes to Nagoya Sakae Station and board the Higashiyama Line there.

Matsuzakaya and Nagoya PARCO anchor the immediate area. Nagoya City Science Museum is about nine minutes away on foot, and Osu Shopping Street is about 11 minutes away.

Airport access

There is no direct airport train from Yabacho and no hotel shuttle. From Chubu Centrair International Airport, take a Meitetsu airport limited express to Kanayama, then transfer to the clockwise Meijo Line for Yabacho and complete the trip with a five-minute walk.

Allow extra time for the transfer at Kanayama and the final walk. Waiting for the connection can make the complete journey longer than the two rail segments alone suggest.

Why stay here

Days focused on shopping and dining around Sakae and Osu are easy to plan from this location. The range of twin rooms and separated bathroom layouts also helps couples, friends, and small groups who want more than a compact double. Travelers expecting frequent Shinkansen trips may prefer to stay closer to Nagoya Station.

Sakae combines major department stores, underground shopping areas, and restaurant floors. Osu has a less formal atmosphere, with more than 1,200 shops and restaurants spread through its covered shopping streets.

Good to know

Check-in begins at 2:00 pm, and check-out is by 11:00 am. Children of elementary-school age or younger may share existing beds within the hotel's room limits: double rooms allow one child, while twin rooms allow up to two.

Drivers need to use a nearby public car park. Affiliated rates are available at certain public lots, but availability and current conditions should be checked before arrival.
