Overview
From Oita Station's Funai Chuo Exit, the eight-minute walk to Hotel Forza Oita follows the Centporta Chuo-machi shopping arcade into central Oita. The hotel is within the Oita Station Area, though it isn't beside the platforms.
Oita Station's rail and bus connections remain within easy reach. OPAM is about seven minutes from the hotel, and iichiko Grand Theater is about eight. This is a downtown stay, not a station-front one.
Rooms
All 205 rooms are non-smoking. The two most common layouts, Forza Double and Relax Double, both measure 18.2 square meters, with different bed widths and lounge furniture. The 23.7-square-meter Relax Twin has two beds placed side by side.
The IYASHI room measures 29.7 square meters and adds a massage sofa. A 47.5-square-meter universal room accommodates up to four adults and includes emergency call equipment. There is only one universal room, while most of the remaining inventory is geared toward solo guests and couples.
Facilities
Coin laundry rooms on the second, sixth, and tenth floors are helpful for longer stays. The lobby has a microwave, while an ice machine and drinks vending are on the second floor.
There is no private parking. If you're driving, use one of the independently operated coin car parks nearby and check its current hours and vehicle limits.
Dining
Breakfast is served on the first floor from 6:30 to 10:30 AM, with last orders at 10:00. The buffet combines Japanese and Western staples with Oita and Kyushu dishes such as toriten chicken tempura, dango-jiru soup, and chicken rice.
After breakfast, the restaurant becomes a free guest lounge. Coffee, cocoa, other hot drinks, and water are available, and each guest can receive one glass of wine per stay. It's a convenient place to take a break outside the room without paying for a full cafe visit.
Location and transport
Use Oita Station's Funai Chuo Exit, which is also signed as the North Exit. From the plaza, enter the Centporta Chuo-machi arcade and continue straight toward the hotel. The walk takes about eight minutes.
Oita Station brings together the Nippo, Kyudai, and Hohi main lines. The Nippo route is the straightforward choice for Beppu, while other services run toward Yufuin, Aso, Kumamoto, and destinations farther along eastern Kyushu. Oita has no Shinkansen stop, so arrivals from Honshu normally require a transfer at Kokura.
Airport access
The Airliner stop outside Daiwa Roynet Hotel Oita is about three minutes away on foot. Oita Kotsu lists a 66-minute journey from this stop to Oita Airport, though traffic can affect the timing.
This is a scheduled public bus, not a hotel shuttle. Check the current stop and timetable before traveling, particularly for an early flight.
Why stay here
The combination of an eight-minute station walk, a three-minute airport-bus walk, and a central arcade location helps on transport days without pulling the stay away from downtown. The tradeoff is clear: several hotels are closer to Oita Station, but they don't place the Chuo-machi streets quite as close to the door.
Restaurants and izakayas serving local food line the arcades around the station, so dinner doesn't require another journey. OPAM adds a major art museum within walking distance, while the station complex covers shopping and quick meals.
Good to know
Check-in begins at 2:00 PM, and checkout is by 11:00 AM. Although part of the walking route follows the covered Centporta arcade, the hotel isn't directly connected to Oita Station. Allow extra time with luggage, and plan to use public coin parking if you arrive by car.
