Overview
Exit 2B of Takeshiba Station leads directly into HOTEL TAVINOS Hamamatsucho on the Tokyo-Takeshiba waterfront, about one minute from the ticket gate. Despite the hotel's name, Hamamatsucho Station is about eight minutes away. The Tokyo Monorail and Daimon Station are each about nine minutes away on foot.
That distinction matters. Takeshiba is convenient for Yurikamome trips toward Odaiba and Toyosu, as well as the nearby passenger ship terminal and bayfront walks. The inland stations provide broader connections, including JR city routes, two Toei subway lines, and direct monorail trains to Haneda Airport.
Rooms
The 188 rooms feature bold graphics inspired by manga and breakfast scenes. Standard Double and Hollywood Twin rooms measure 12 square meters and accommodate up to two guests. The Double has one wide bed, while the Hollywood Twin places two single beds side by side. Selected upper-floor rooms look toward Takeshiba Wharf.
The rooms are small. Under-bed luggage storage and a folding table recover some usable space, but standard rooms have shower booths rather than bathtubs and don't include refrigerators. The 17-square-meter Universal Room is the exception, with an accessible layout and a bathtub.
Facilities
The second-floor lounge provides space that the compact rooms can't. It has seating for planning the day or working on a laptop, along with Wi-Fi and charging points. Guests can also use a free self-service cloakroom on arrival and departure days, paid laundry machines, and a library of roughly 500 manga volumes.
There is no hotel parking. A 24-hour convenience store on the first floor covers drinks, snacks, and everyday purchases.
Dining
There isn't a full restaurant. Free drinks are available in the lounge from early morning until midnight, and individually wrapped bread is set out each morning while supplies last. Think of it as a light start rather than a full breakfast.
For a larger meal, the waterfront complexes around Takeshiba have restaurants and cafes. Hamamatsucho offers more choice after the walk inland, while the lounge has a microwave and toaster for food brought back to the hotel.
Location and transport
Takeshiba Station serves the Yurikamome. Trains run through Shiodome to Shimbashi in one direction and around the bay through Odaiba and Ariake to Toyosu in the other. It's the most convenient line for waterfront plans, but it doesn't replace the larger rail network at Hamamatsucho.
Hamamatsucho Station adds the JR Yamanote and Keihin-Tohoku lines, including direct city travel toward Tokyo and Shinagawa. Daimon serves the Toei Asakusa and Oedo lines. The hotel's published elevator route from Daimon's Exit B4 takes about ten minutes, one minute longer than the route from Exit B2.
Airport access
Tokyo Monorail trains run directly between Hamamatsucho and all three Haneda Airport passenger terminals. From the hotel, allow for the roughly nine-minute walk to the monorail platforms. This is a direct airport train after a street-level walk, not hotel-door transport.
Narita Airport requires a transfer. The hotel's suggested route uses the Keisei Skyliner to Nippori, followed by a JR train to Hamamatsucho and the final walk to Takeshiba.
Why stay here
The direct Takeshiba connection keeps Odaiba, Toyosu, and the Tokyo Bay waterfront close, while the monorail at Hamamatsucho supports a Haneda arrival or departure without another rail transfer. The tradeoff is compact standard rooms and a longer walk whenever JR or subway services matter more than the Yurikamome.
Takeshiba's boardwalks, passenger ship terminal, waterfront theatres, and bay views give the immediate area more to do than its office towers suggest. Island ferries and local water-bus services use different piers, so check the operator and boarding point before setting out.
Good to know
Standard rooms have no refrigerator or bathtub. During longer stays, routine housekeeping covers towels and rubbish, with bed linen and bathroom cleaning every three days unless additional paid cleaning is requested.
The front entrance is locked between midnight and 6:00 a.m. Checked-in guests can enter with a room key card. Anyone arriving for the first time after midnight should contact the hotel and use the entrance intercom.
