Rail, ferry, and airport bus connections converge beside JR Hotel Clement Takamatsu on the city's waterfront. Takamatsu Station is about one minute away on foot, the island ferry piers are nearby, and the Takamatsu Airport limousine bus stops at the main entrance. That combination takes much of the friction out of trips shaped by fixed train, flight, or sailing times.
This is a large, full-service hotel, not simply a place to sleep beside the station. Its broad room range covers solo stays, family trips, and groups, while several restaurants and substantial event spaces keep breakfast, dinner, or a business gathering in the building.

The hotel's scale is clearest in its meeting and banquet facilities. Spaces range from small function rooms to venues for events of up to 1,500 people, allowing conferences, weddings, and large gatherings to take place alongside ordinary overnight stays.

Breakfast is served from 6:30 to 10:00 at first-floor Cafe & Restaurant Vent, which is also open to non-guests. Other restaurants cover Japanese, Chinese, steak, and French dining, so a more formal meal doesn't require leaving the building.
Restaurant Fiore occupies the 20th floor and looks toward the Seto Inland Sea and the city. One floor above, Bar Astro doesn't admit minors. A ground-floor bakery sells bread, cakes, and chocolates to take away.
Location and transport
The hotel stands in the Takamatsu Station Area, beside the city's main waterfront transport cluster. JR services depart from Takamatsu Station, while Takamatsu-Chikko Station serves Kotoden trains. The distinction matters when checking a route, though both stations are a short walk from the hotel.
Ferries and high-speed boats from Takamatsu Port serve Naoshima, Teshima, Shodoshima, and other islands. A covered passage from the hotel's second floor leads toward the ferry boarding area, which is especially welcome in rain or with rolling luggage. Tamamo Park, on the former Takamatsu Castle grounds, is also about three minutes on foot from JR Takamatsu Station.
The location favors transport connections, waterfront plans, and island excursions. Travelers expecting to spend most evenings around the denser shopping and nightlife near Kawaramachi may prefer that part of central Takamatsu.
Airport access
The Takamatsu Airport limousine bus stops directly at the hotel's main entrance. The journey takes roughly 40 to 45 minutes, depending on the service and traffic. From the airport, the hotel stop comes just before the final Takamatsu Station stop.
There is no hotel-operated airport shuttle. Bus schedules are adjusted to match flight times and can change, so check the current timetable rather than relying on an older trip plan.
Why stay here
An early island departure, a JR arrival with luggage, or a flight the following morning can all be managed without crossing the city. The range of rooms and dining also helps families, business travelers, and groups who need more than a basic overnight stay.
A first or final night can bookend a wider Shikoku trip, while a longer visit opens the door to day trips across the Seto Inland Sea. The tradeoff is atmosphere: the waterfront transport district is quieter after dark than Kawaramachi's shopping and dining streets.
Good to know
Same-day luggage storage is limited to the day of check-in or check-out rather than extended storage. Borrowed wheelchairs are for indoor use, and the hotel doesn't lend baby prams. Pets aren't permitted in the hotel or parking area.
