Overview
JR Kyushu Hotel Blossom Hakata Chuo is a 247-room hotel just a 2-minute walk from the Hakata Exit of Hakata Station. It is a strong choice for travelers who want Fukuoka to connect smoothly with the rest of Kyushu, with JR trains, the Subway Airport Line, and Hakata Bus Terminal all close at hand.
The design has a calm, modern Japanese character rather than the plain feel of a standard business hotel. Natural materials, red accents, and references to Kyushu crafts give the lobby and guest rooms a clear sense of place without making the hotel feel overly formal.
Rooms
Guest rooms start at about 19 sq m, with double and twin layouts among the main categories. A Universal Double room is also available. All rooms include Simmons pocket-coil beds, Imabari towels, bamboo flooring at the entrance, Wi-Fi, and wired LAN for guests who prefer a cable connection.
Standard Double rooms measure 19 to 20 sq m and have a 160 cm wide bed. A seating chair and tea table make the room easier to use between outings, whether you are planning the day or relaxing after dinner.
Superior Twin rooms measure 25 sq m and include space to open luggage. Deluxe Twin rooms measure 29 sq m and can sleep three guests with a pull-out trundle bed. Premium Twin rooms are on higher floors and add extra comfort features such as feather pads and a night steamer, along with bathrooms that have a separate washing area.
The Universal Double is designed with wider aisles and step-free movement between the room and bathroom. Clear, easy-to-understand switches help keep the stay straightforward.
Facilities
Near reception, glass walls feature Hakata-ori design motifs, while earthen wall textures and artwork connected to Kyushu prefectures add regional detail to the lobby and front desk area. Check-in begins at 2:00 PM, and check-out is by 11:00 AM.
Coin laundries are available 24 hours a day on the 5th, 11th, and 12th floors. Vending machines and ice machines are on the 5th and 12th floors, and a microwave is available on the 5th floor. A smoking booth is provided on the 1st floor.

Feast Dining Nanatsu-no-Hana is on the 1st floor and focuses on dishes made with ingredients from Kyushu. Breakfast is served from 6:30 AM to 10:00 AM, with last entry at 9:30 AM. For staying guests, breakfast costs 2,200 yen for adults and 1,320 yen for children, while infants eat free.

Location and transport
The hotel is on the Hakata Exit side of Hakata Station. From the exit, continue straight along Hakata Ekimae-dori; the entrance is on the right beside Fukuoka Center Building.
The surrounding Fukuoka-Hakata area puts commercial facilities and restaurants within walking distance, which helps with everyday needs such as picking up travel supplies or finding dinner after a late arrival.
Transport is the key advantage here. JR services handle city and regional rail travel, the Fukuoka Municipal Subway Airport Line is within walking distance, and Hakata Bus Terminal is nearby for highway and local buses.
Airport access
From the Fukuoka Airport domestic terminal, take the Fukuoka Municipal Subway Airport Line from Fukuoka Airport Station to Hakata Station. The ride takes about 5 minutes and covers 2 stops. Hakata Station West Exit 19 has an elevator and is about a 1-minute walk from the hotel. West Exit 18 is adjacent, but it is stairs-only and open from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
From the Fukuoka Airport international terminal, Nishitetsu Bus runs from the International Passenger Terminal Building No. 2 stop to Hakata Station in about 20 minutes. A free shuttle bus also connects the international and domestic terminals in about 15 minutes, which is helpful if you prefer to take the subway from the domestic side.
Why stay here
Choose this hotel if you want to stay close to Hakata's main rail connections on the Hakata Exit side, especially if your trip includes JR travel around Kyushu. The rooms are larger than many compact urban business hotel rooms, with several layouts that work well for two guests and some that can accommodate three.
It is also a good fit if you like having a full restaurant in the same building. Breakfast is more substantial than a simple morning corner, with a Kyushu-focused buffet, and evening service gives you a restaurant-and-bar option when you would rather not head back out.
Good to know
There are two JR Kyushu Hotel Blossom properties around Hakata Station. This one is JR Kyushu Hotel Blossom Hakata Chuo on the Hakata Exit side, so check the property name carefully when navigating.
There is no parking on the premises. Guests arriving by car are directed to affiliated parking lots about a 1-minute walk away. Parking is first-come, first-served, and reservations are not accepted.
The affiliated parking ticket covers 17 hours at 2,000 yen, with extra charges outside that period. Vehicles are limited to 5 m in length, 2 m in width, 2.1 m in height, and 2 t in weight. If you leave the lot during your stay, a new fee applies each time.
