Overview
KOKO HOTEL Hakata Shinkansenguchi is in Fukuoka-Hakata. Its location on the Chikushi Exit side of Hakata Station works well for Shinkansen users, airport arrivals, early train departures, and rail trips around Kyushu.
Rooms
The hotel has 109 non-smoking rooms. Most are compact 12-square-meter single or semi-double rooms with 140 cm beds, along with seven 17-square-meter twin rooms. The room lineup is best suited to solo travelers, couples, and short stays rather than groups looking for generous floor space.
In-room basics include Wi-Fi, USB outlets, a refrigerator, kettle, modular bath, and toilet with washing functions.
Facilities
The second-floor public baths and library lounge are the main extras beyond the guest rooms. The baths are separated by gender and available to hotel guests, while the lounge offers Wi-Fi, books, TV, and free coffee.
Other services include a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage on check-in and check-out days, a microwave, ice machine, toaster, coin laundry, vending machines, smoking area, amenity buffet, and limited rental items. The hotel does not have on-site parking, but the front desk sells tickets for affiliated paid parking.
Dining
Breakfast is simple and geared toward quick mornings, with complimentary bread, coffee, and juice. Free coffee is also available in the library lounge around the clock, and paid alcoholic drinks are offered in the evening for takeout only.
Location and transport
The hotel is about four minutes on foot from JR Hakata Station's Shinkansen-side Chikushi Exit, about seven minutes from Hakata Bus Terminal, and about two minutes from Hakata Station East Exit 6 on the Fukuoka City Subway Airport Line.
Airport access
There is no hotel-door airport shuttle. Use the subway through Hakata Station: Fukuoka Airport's domestic terminal is connected to the Fukuoka City Subway, and the Airport Line reaches Hakata Station in about five minutes. From there, walk to the Chikushi Exit side.
Why stay here
Choose KOKO HOTEL Hakata Shinkansenguchi if your trip depends on easy Hakata Station connections more than spacious rooms or full-service hotel amenities. The public baths, lounge, light breakfast, and laundry make short stays easier, while the location keeps Shinkansen, subway, bus, and airport transfers close.
Good to know
The hotel changed from Hotel Wing International Hakata Shinkansenguchi to KOKO HOTEL on January 27, 2026, so older references may still use the former name. Also note that KOKO HOTEL Hakata Station, formerly Hotel Wing International Select Hakata Ekimae, is a different property on the opposite Hakata Exit side; for this hotel, route to the Chikushi Exit side.
