Overview
The hotel is a five-minute walk from Kintetsu Jujo Station, where local trains reach Kyoto Station in about three minutes. To-ji is roughly 12 minutes away on foot.
Travelers should allow for the extra train or taxi leg whenever a trip begins or ends at Kyoto Station. Public baths, reservable parking, and rooms for three or four mainly suit drivers, families, and small groups.
Rooms
Solo travelers can book a single with one 140-centimeter bed and a work desk. Hollywood Twins place two beds side by side, while Moderate Twins separate the bath and toilet.
For a shared stay, triples sleep three and Japanese rooms take up to four people on futons that guests lay out themselves. Universal Twins have step-free interiors for travelers who need an accessible layout.
Facilities
Separate men's and women's public baths open from 3 in the afternoon until 1 at night, then again from 6 to 9 in the morning. Coin laundries are on the first and fourth floors, and a 24-hour Seven-Eleven is next door.
Paid parking must be booked by phone before arrival. Guests can drive in and out around the clock during their stay, and one space can accommodate a microbus.
Dining
Breakfast is a Japanese and Western buffet served from 6:30 to 9:30. Direct website and telephone reservations currently include it at no extra charge, but guests booking elsewhere should check whether breakfast is included in their plan.
There is no dinner service for individual guests, although group meals can be arranged. Plan to eat before returning if you want a restaurant meal; the adjacent convenience store covers simpler evening needs.
Location and transport
Kyoto Station remains the hub for the Shinkansen, JR lines, subway services, and many city buses, so most trips beyond the immediate area begin with the short Kintetsu ride. A taxi from its Hachijo side takes about ten minutes and may be easier with luggage.
To-ji is the closest major sight. Reaching other parts of Kyoto generally involves a connection through Kyoto Station, another Kintetsu stop, or a bus or taxi suited to the destination.
Airport access
Neither airport route ends at the hotel. The Haruka limited express connects Kansai International Airport with Kyoto Station, while airport buses run between Osaka Itami Airport and Kyoto Station. From there, the final leg is a short Kintetsu ride and walk or a taxi.
Why stay here
Drivers benefit from parking they can reserve, and families can avoid splitting up by booking a triple or Japanese room. The public baths are a welcome extra after a day of sightseeing. For an early Shinkansen, however, a hotel beside Kyoto Station removes the local train or taxi leg.
To-ji gives the southern location a major sight within walking distance. Its five-story pagoda is a Kyoto landmark, and the Kobo-san market fills the temple grounds on the 21st of each month.
Good to know
Use Kintetsu Jujo Station, not Jujo Station on the Kyoto Municipal Subway. They are different stops.
Parking requires an advance telephone reservation, and individual dinner service isn't available. Breakfast inclusion also depends on how the room was booked, so check the terms of your plan.
