Overview
Playable digital pianos, balcony room options, and wide views over Hama-rikyu Gardens give mesm Tokyo, Autograph Collection a character of its own on the Takeshiba waterfront. The hotel occupies floors 16 to 26 of WATERS takeshiba, three minutes from Takeshiba Station and six minutes from Hamamatsucho Station.
The two stations serve different kinds of trips. Takeshiba is closer and connects to the Yurikamome for travel around the bay, while Hamamatsucho handles JR journeys across central Tokyo and Tokyo Monorail services to Haneda Airport. The waterfront setting doesn't come at the expense of wider rail connections, though reaching them requires a short walk.
Rooms
All 265 rooms are non-smoking and start at 40 square meters. Chapter 1 has either a king bed or twin beds, while Chapter 2 uses a slightly larger circular layout built around a king bed. Selected garden-facing categories add balconies, so check the room name carefully if stepping outside is part of the appeal.
Chapter 3 and Chapter 4 suites bring a substantial increase in space. They add separate living and dining areas, much larger waterfront balconies, and up to 180 square meters in the top-floor Chapter 4. Every room has a digital piano that guests can play. It isn't merely decorative.
Facilities
The 17th-floor fitness center is open around the clock and has Technogym equipment. Rental shoes and exercise clothes aren't provided, so bring your own kit.
A live performance takes place in the lobby each night. Paid laundry and valet parking cover two common needs, but leisure time here remains centered on the rooms, views, and waterfront setting.
Dining
Chef's Theatre serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner from an open kitchen overlooking Hama-rikyu Gardens. Its French bistronomy menu gives the restaurant a role beyond breakfast, while the garden and bay outlook keeps the waterfront in view throughout the meal.
Whisk is the more relaxed option for cocktails, sweets, and light meals, and 24-hour room service is also available. Club mesm on the 25th floor has a terrace overlooking the bay, but it's a paid private salon rather than a conventional executive lounge.
Location and transport
The shortest station walk is about three minutes to Takeshiba on the Yurikamome. Trains run through Shiodome to Shimbashi in one direction and toward Odaiba, Ariake, and Toyosu in the other, which helps with waterfront plans.
Hamamatsucho's North Exit is about six minutes away, providing JR Yamanote and Keihin-Tohoku Line services as well as the Tokyo Monorail. Daimon Station is about seven minutes from the hotel and adds the Toei Asakusa and Oedo subway lines.
Airport access
For Haneda Airport, walk to Hamamatsucho and take the Tokyo Monorail. Haneda Express trains reach Terminal 3 in as little as 13 minutes, with Terminals 1 and 2 farther along the same line.
A scheduled Airport Limousine bus connects the hotel directly with Narita Airport in roughly two hours. Departures are limited, and road traffic can alter the journey time, so check the current timetable before relying on it.
Why stay here
Paying for the waterfront setting changes the room experience as well as the location. Even entry categories start at 40 square meters, every room has a digital piano, and selected categories open onto balconies. Hamamatsucho keeps the hotel connected to central Tokyo and Haneda Airport, but Shinkansen journeys still require a transfer through Tokyo or Shinagawa.
The surrounding Tokyo-Takeshiba district rewards a slower pace. You can walk along the waterfront, see a performance at WATERS takeshiba, or take a water bus toward Asakusa or Odaiba when services are running. The nearby passenger ship terminal handles island ferries from a separate pier.
Good to know
Balconies and garden views depend on the room category. Club mesm is limited to overnight guests aged 20 and over, with a cover charge and separate charges for food and drinks. It isn't a complimentary club lounge.
Disposable toothbrushes haven't been supplied as a standard room amenity since April 2026. Bring your own if you prefer a conventional toothbrush.
