Overview
Panoramic views shape the experience at Mitsui Garden Hotel Hiroshima. Confrere serves breakfast on the 25th floor, and the same space becomes a guest lounge from late morning. At street level, the hotel is in Nakamachi on Hiroshima-Peace Boulevard, about five minutes from Fukuro-machi Station and around ten minutes from Peace Memorial Park.
The 281 rooms occupy floors 8 to 24, giving the hotel more scale than a compact city stay. The compromise comes on arrival: Hiroshima Station is a city bus or streetcar ride away, not a short walk.
Rooms
Room choices range from compact singles and doubles to twin layouts, a Deluxe King, and a Junior Suite Twin. Selected twin rooms accept an extra bed, while the Deluxe King uses a sofa bed to accommodate a third guest.
The Junior Suite Twin is the outlier. It sleeps up to four people with a sofa bed and adds a microwave and washer-dryer, providing a more self-contained setup for a longer stay or small group.
Facilities
A coin laundry on the second floor supports longer trips, and Wi-Fi is available throughout the building. Every seat in the 25th-floor guest lounge has a power outlet, so the space can also be used for light work or planning the day.
The tower-style car park has strict height, length, width, and weight limits. Drivers with larger or taller vehicles may need to use a nearby alternative.
Dining
Confrere serves a Japanese and Western breakfast buffet from 6:30 to 10:00. More than 50 dishes draw on ingredients from Hiroshima and the Seto Inland Sea, while windows look across the city and surrounding islands from about 80 metres above ground.
From 11:00 to 22:00, the same floor becomes a guest-exclusive lounge serving coffee, tea, soft drinks, and snacks or desserts that change through the day. Wine is available for a charge. On the ground floor, Cafe di Espresso serves coffee, light food, and sweets.
Location and transport
Route 1 streetcars run directly from Hiroshima Station to Fukuro-machi in about 20 minutes, followed by a five-minute walk. The Eki-Machi Loop bus is another direct option, taking about 10 minutes to Shirakamisha-mae and leaving a walk of roughly three minutes.
Peace Memorial Park is around ten minutes away, while the restaurants of Fukuromachi and the Hondori shopping streets lie to the north. The location keeps the memorial district and downtown dining within the same central stay.
Airport access
Limousine buses from Hiroshima Airport take about 70 minutes to Hiroshima Bus Center. They don't stop at the hotel, so the final part of the journey continues through central Hiroshima on foot, by local transport, or by taxi.
That distinction matters on arrival day. Before returning to the airport, allow enough time to reach the bus center and find the correct platform.
Why stay here
The five-minute walk from the streetcar and ten-minute approach to Peace Memorial Park keep central sightseeing manageable. Breakfast and lounge hours also make the high-floor view part of an ordinary hotel day. The tradeoff is the local transfer from Hiroshima Station and the separate airport-bus stop.
Peace Boulevard leads west toward the museum and memorials in Peace Memorial Park. North of the avenue, Fukuromachi and Hondori bring cafes, restaurants, bars, and shopping into an evening walk.
Good to know
Check-in begins at 3:00 PM, and checkout is by 11:00 AM. Most lounge refreshments are included for registered guests, but wine is charged.
The hotel isn't connected to Fukuro-machi Station. The walk from the streetcar, the route to Peace Memorial Park, and the final approach from Hiroshima Bus Center are all outdoors.
