Overview
With 1,016 rooms and a large recreation complex, Sheraton Grande Tokyo Bay Hotel offers more to do on site than most visitors could fit around a full park day. It is one of the six official hotels at Tokyo Disney Resort, with pools, children's facilities, and high-capacity rooms that work especially well for families and groups.
The hotel is one minute on foot from Bayside Station. The paid Disney Resort Line continues to Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, while free buses connect the hotel with Bayside and Maihama Station.
Rooms
All 1,016 rooms are nonsmoking and measure at least 36 square metres. Standard, Ocean Dream, Grande, and Park Wing categories cover the more conventional choices, while several layouts accommodate up to six guests. Some rooms face Tokyo Bay and others face the resort, but the room name doesn't guarantee a particular view or balcony.
Treasure rooms use bunk beds when four or more beds are required, which can help larger families share one room. Grande and Park Wing rooms have separate bath and toilet areas, while eligible Club rooms include access to the 12th-floor lounge. Book the exact category when bed count, bathroom layout, lounge access, or view matters.
Facilities
Registered guests can use the 25-metre indoor pool and shallow children's pool without an additional fee. Pool sessions may be time-limited when demand is high. The fitness center is also free but restricted to guests aged 18 or older, and the outdoor garden pool operates seasonally.
The Oasis recreation area adds the Wizkids play center and an arcade. Mini golf, the My-You Japanese-style bath and sauna, and spa treatments cost extra. These facilities make a hotel day realistic, but families should check current age rules, opening dates, and reservation requirements before planning around a particular activity.
Dining
Grand Cafe serves buffet meals from breakfast onward. Japanese and teppanyaki restaurants provide alternatives for a sit-down dinner, while a cafe and in-room dining handle lighter meals.
Eligible Club guests can also use the 12th-floor lounge for breakfast, daytime refreshments, and evening service. Meal periods and age restrictions vary, so check current lounge and restaurant schedules if a specific service is important.
Location and transport
Bayside Station is about one minute away on foot. A free Disney Resort Cruiser covers the same short route, which can help with luggage, strollers, or bad weather. The Disney Resort Line then reaches both parks and Resort Gateway Station beside JR Maihama. The monorail fare is separate.
A free direct hotel bus also runs to Maihama Station. Timetables can change, and road traffic may cause delays, so the monorail is the more predictable connection during busy park periods. JR trains connect Maihama with Tokyo Station in about 15 minutes.
Airport access
Paid airport limousine buses can serve the hotel from both Haneda and Narita, with advance reservations recommended. These aren't the free local hotel buses, and their limited schedules should be checked against flight times before booking.
Rail travel from either airport requires transfers before reaching Maihama. From there, the final leg is by the free hotel bus or the paid resort monorail through Bayside Station.
Why stay here
Rooms for up to six, substantial recreation, and a short return from either Disney park give families and groups room to shape the stay around more than park hours alone. The large indoor pool and children's facilities also provide flexibility when the weather changes or the group needs time away from the parks.
A second park day or an evening at Ikspiari fits naturally from here. For an itinerary centered on museums, neighborhood restaurants, and daily sightseeing across Tokyo, a city-center hotel will save time despite the direct JR connection from Maihama.
Good to know
Check-in begins at 15:00, check-out is by 12:00, and the minimum check-in age is 18. The entire hotel is nonsmoking.
Sheraton Grande Tokyo Bay Hotel is scheduled to close from February 24 through February 27, 2027, for a mandatory facility inspection and hotel-wide power shutdown. Guests considering dates around that closure should confirm reopening arrangements directly with the hotel.
