Overview

Just two minutes from Gojo Station, THE BLOSSOM KYOTO is one subway stop north of Kyoto Station and one stop south of Shijo. Higashi Honganji and Shosei-en Garden are nearby, giving the location more appeal than subway convenience alone.

Kyoto crafts and local materials shape the interiors without making them feel themed. A public bath and guest lounge provide space to unwind after sightseeing, while the restaurant and fitness room add flexibility when you don't want to head straight back out.

Rooms

Room choice matters here. Moderate doubles, kings, and twins have tatami floors, shoes-off layouts, and 23 to 26 square meters of space; triple rooms measure 28 or 33 square meters. These categories are shower-only, so look elsewhere in the room list if you want a private bathtub.

Superior and Deluxe rooms add bathrooms with washing areas. The 49-square-meter Premium Twin separates its living and sleeping spaces, while the 55-square-meter Deluxe Quad has four proper beds and a tatami sitting area for families or small groups. A 25-square-meter Universal Single provides wider aisles, accessible furniture, and more convenient switch placement.

Facilities

The large public bath overlooks a small courtyard garden and opens during morning and evening hours. On the same basement level, the guest lounge provides complimentary self-service drinks and snacks. The fitness room is open around the clock.

Beside the lobby, Aino-machi-no-kura incorporates roof tiles and beams from a storehouse that once stood on the site. It's a more distinctive place to read or meet than a standard hotel lobby. Coin laundry is also available for longer stays.

Dining

KYOTO GOJO ONO serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and evening drinks. Breakfast combines a choice of prepared main dishes with buffet items, including vegan options. A limited Morning Box can be delivered to your room when reserved by the previous evening.

Later menus range across Japanese and Western cooking, from seasonal courses to simpler a la carte choices. The bar is handy when you'd rather finish the evening at the hotel.

Location and transport

The hotel is about 200 meters east of Gojo Station Exit 1. Travel one stop north for Shijo and the Kyoto Shijo-Karasuma shopping and dining district, or one stop south for Shinkansen, JR, Kintetsu, and airport connections at Kyoto Station.

Gojo is convenient for north-south subway trips, but it doesn't put Gion, Pontocho, or Kawaramachi outside the door. Reaching those areas requires a bus, taxi, transfer, or longer walk.

Airport access

From Kansai International Airport, take the Haruka limited express or an airport limousine bus to Kyoto Station, then continue one stop on the Karasuma Line. From Itami Airport, the usual public transport route is an airport limousine bus to Kyoto Station followed by the same short subway ride.

The journey isn't door to door. Allow for the final transfer when you're carrying large luggage.

Why stay here

The short walk from Gojo Station keeps Kyoto Station arrivals and rail day trips manageable without placing you among the station-front blocks. Back at the hotel, the public bath, lounge, and broad room selection provide more comfort for a multi-night visit than a bare-bones place to sleep.

Higashi Honganji and Shosei-en Garden offer an easy nearby outing. Around the garden's pond and historic buildings, the scenery shifts from spring blossoms and summer flowers to autumn color.

Good to know

Exit 1 provides the shortest walk from Gojo Station. If you need an elevator, use Exit 6 and allow about six minutes on foot. The hotel has no on-site or partnered parking, so arriving by public transport is simpler.
