Overview

THE GATE HOTEL OSAKA by HULIC is a new upper-floor hotel in Osaka-Shinsaibashi, inside the Shinsaibashi Plaza Building and directly connected to Shinsaibashi Station via the north ticket gate at Exit 1. Opened in June 2026, it is designed for travelers who want Shinsaibashi shopping, Minami dining, and Osaka Metro access right below the hotel.

Its location is the clearest advantage. The hotel works especially well if you want to stay just north of Namba's busiest blocks while keeping the Midosuji Line close for moving around central Osaka.

Rooms

Guest rooms are on the 16th to 28th floors, giving the hotel more of an elevated city-stay feel than a typical street-level business hotel. There are 223 rooms, from standard layouts to larger premium categories. The main differences are space, price, and views across Osaka.

The rooms are set up for a polished urban stay rather than a simple overnight stop. With modern in-room equipment and a broad mix of categories, the hotel can work for solo travelers, couples, and small groups.

Facilities

Facilities are focused on the upper levels. The fitness area is on the 16th floor, while the 28th floor brings together the guest-only Gate Lounge and PEAKS rooftop bar.

The hotel does not have its own parking, so it is better suited to guests arriving by subway, taxi, or other local transport than by car.

Dining

Anchor Osaka on the 15th floor serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and drinks in a spacious dining room. Breakfast follows a main-dish and half-buffet format, giving the morning meal more structure than a quick grab-and-go option.

PEAKS on the 28th floor is the rooftop bar, with table seating, terrace seating, and bar-counter seating above Osaka. Together with the Gate Lounge, it gives the hotel a stronger upper-floor social feel than a simple room near the station.

Location and transport

Shinsaibashi Station is the hotel's main transport link. Direct access to the north ticket gate at Exit 1 places the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line and Nagahori Tsurumi-ryokuchi Line immediately below the building.

That makes the hotel especially convenient for Shinsaibashi shopping arcades, walks through Minami, and subway trips around central Osaka. Namba is close on foot, but it serves a different transport role, with separate rail and bus connections.

Why stay here

Choose THE GATE HOTEL OSAKA by HULIC if you want a newly opened Shinsaibashi hotel with direct subway access, upper-floor rooms, and enough dining and lounge space for the stay to feel complete. It is best suited to a Shinsaibashi-centered stay rather than Namba-side transport planning.

Good to know

Shinsaibashi and Namba blend together easily on foot, but they are not the same hotel base. This property is strongest for the Shinsaibashi side of Minami and the Midosuji Line, while Namba is the clearer reference point for southern Minami rail and bus terminals.
