Overview
TIAD, Autograph Collection faces Hisaya Odori Park at the southern end of Nagoya-Sakae, with more than 50 square metres of space in every room. Yabacho Station Exit 1 is about a minute away, combining generous rooms and full-service facilities with easy subway access.
Sakae's shops begin outside, but this isn't a Nagoya Station hotel. Reaching Nagoya Station and its Shinkansen platforms requires a subway change or taxi, a reasonable trade if downtown evenings and space to unwind matter more than direct intercity rail.
Rooms
Every room is larger than 50 square metres. City-view and park-view categories have king or twin beds and floor-to-ceiling windows, while selected park-facing rooms add balconies. That sense of openness is unusual in a downtown hotel.
Suites add corner layouts, larger living areas, and butler service. The 96-square-metre Suite and 115-square-metre Presidential Suite also have balconies and walk-in closets; the latter adds a steam sauna.
Facilities
The Wellness Zone is reserved for guests aged 16 and over. Its indoor infinity pool and Japanese-style baths provide space to slow down, while the gym remains open around the clock. A lounge with drinks and snacks and bookable spa treatments complete the wellness facilities.
Dining
Table For Tomorrow serves breakfast through dinner, with terrace seating overlooking Hisaya Odori Park. Breakfast is a semi-buffet with a choice of three main dishes. SHUHARI serves Japanese omakase, while the third-floor Lounge focuses on tea, sweets, and afternoon tea.
Room service runs from morning until late evening.
Location and transport
Yabacho Station Exit 1 is about a minute from the entrance. On the Meijo Line, Nagoya Sakae Station is one stop north; change there to the Higashiyama Line for Nagoya Station. The hotel estimates about 15 minutes by subway from Nagoya Station, though the transfer is less convenient with luggage than taking a taxi.
Southern Sakae is easy to explore on foot. Matsuzakaya connects directly to Yabacho Station, Nagoya PARCO is nearby, and Garden Flarie is about three minutes from Exit 4.
Airport access
Getting to Centrair isn't direct. The hotel estimates about 50 minutes by Meitetsu and subway, with a transfer before the final walk from Yabacho Station. There isn't a hotel-door shuttle.
Why stay here
When evenings in Sakae matter more than stepping straight off the Shinkansen, TIAD provides space to settle in and wellness facilities worth returning for. Yabacho keeps the subway close, but every intercity rail day begins with a connection to Nagoya Station.
Sakae is Nagoya's downtown shopping and business district. Near TIAD, Matsuzakaya and PARCO fill the southern blocks, while Garden Flarie adds six themed gardens. Oasis 21 and MIRAI TOWER are farther north along the park corridor.
Good to know
The Wellness Zone's age limit is the main caveat for families: guests must be at least 16 to enter. Only the gym operates 24 hours; the pool, baths, and lounge close earlier.
On-site parking costs ¥4,500 per night, and the mechanical system has size restrictions. Check-in starts at 3:00 pm, checkout is at noon, and pets aren't accepted.
