Location and transport

The hotel is in the Kintetsu Nara Station Area, with Kintetsu services providing its main transport advantage. Direct trains from Osaka-Namba take about 40 minutes. Limited express services from Kyoto take about 35 minutes and require a surcharge.

Nara Park begins about eight minutes from the station on foot. Kofukuji stands near its western edge, while Nara National Museum and routes toward Todaiji lie farther east. Local buses from Kintetsu Nara can reduce the walking needed to reach sights deeper within the park.

Head south through Higashimuki and Mochiidono to reach Naramachi. Gangoji, at the heart of the district, is about 15 minutes from Kintetsu Nara Station. Preserved merchant houses, temples, cafes, and small shops line the surrounding lanes, so the walk becomes part of the visit.

JR Nara is a separate station southwest of Kintetsu Nara, not another set of platforms in the same building. It's still close enough to reach on foot when a JR service better suits the next part of your itinerary.

Airport access

Airport buses require a timetable check because Kintetsu Nara isn't the main airport-bus stop. Most Kansai Airport services use JR Nara Station, as do buses for Itami. Plan to walk or take a short taxi to JR Nara unless your chosen Kansai Airport departure specifically lists Kintetsu Nara.

Why stay here

The one-minute walk from Exit 5 is especially helpful when you're carrying luggage. Breakfast begins at 6:30 am, so you'll have time to eat before an early train or a full sightseeing day.

An overnight stay also helps split Nara's main walking areas across the day. Spend the morning in Nara Park and the museum district, then turn south toward Naramachi's historic lanes, cafes, and shops. Returning to the hotel between them doesn't require a train or bus transfer.
