Overview
Near the Okawa in central Osaka, Hotel Keihan Temmabashi Ekimae is one minute from Temmabashi Station via Keihan Exit 14 or Osaka Metro Exit 2. The hotel isn't directly connected, but the short outdoor approach is helpful when you're arriving with luggage.
Osaka Castle is close enough to walk, and Keihan trains continue toward eastern Kyoto. The Okawa riverfront is nearby, while the Tanimachi subway line connects Temmabashi with other parts of Osaka.
Rooms
All 290 rooms are non-smoking. Standard doubles are compact, while the Twin and Superior Twin layouts provide more floor space. The 21-square-meter Twin can accommodate a third guest and has a separate bathroom and toilet; the 16-square-meter Double uses a combined unit bath.
Two Deluxe categories give groups more room. The 32-square-meter Deluxe Twin sleeps two to four guests, and the 48-square-meter Deluxe Fourth Room sleeps four to six. Both have an in-room washer-dryer, microwave, and refrigerator with freezer, plus shower booths rather than bathtubs.
Facilities
Self-service machines handle check-in and checkout, and luggage storage is available before check-in and after departure. Guests in standard rooms can use the shared coin laundry, while a first-floor amenity bar provides routine toiletries as needed.
Dining
Italian Buffet Grand Canal serves breakfast and lunch, but not dinner. Its breakfast buffet has more than 60 choices, including Italian hot and cold dishes, bread, and cured meats. At lunch, diners choose a pasta or meat main alongside an appetizer buffet and drink bar.
For dinner, restaurants and cafes are available around Temmabashi Station. Keihan City Mall, directly connected to the station, adds more dining choices and a basement supermarket.
Location and transport
Keihan trains run west to Yodoyabashi and east through Kyobashi toward Fushimi-inari and Gion-shijo, depending on the service. The Tanimachi Line reaches Higashi-Umeda in two stops and continues directly south to Tennoji.
Reaching Shin-Osaka Station still requires a transfer. The route via Yodoyabashi changes between Keihan and the Midosuji Line.
Airport access
From Kansai International Airport, take the JR Kansai-Airport Rapid to Tennoji, then change to the Tanimachi Line for Temmabashi. From Osaka International Airport, an airport bus reaches the Osaka Station area; the final leg begins at Higashi-Umeda on the Tanimachi Line.
Both airport journeys require a transfer. There is no hotel-door shuttle.
Why stay here
The one-minute station walk keeps daily departures straightforward, particularly when an itinerary combines central Osaka with Keihan journeys toward Kyoto. Larger Deluxe rooms accommodate up to six guests, and their in-room washer-dryers save groups a trip to the shared laundry. Shinkansen and airport arrivals are less direct.
Temmabashi also offers a quieter side of the Osaka Castle Area. Hachikenya-hama Pier near the station serves Aqua-Liner cruises, and Osaka Castle is about a 20-minute walk away. A riverfront outing and castle visit can fit into the same day without another train ride.
Good to know
Hotel Keihan Temmabashi Ekimae and Hotel Keihan Temmabashi are different hotels. Check the full name before following directions, and don't use JR Temma Station; Temmabashi is the nearest stop.
Parking is limited to six first-come spaces with a 1.55-meter height limit. Taller vehicles will need another garage.
