Transport access and hotel guide

Overview

Selected rooms at Hotel New Otani Osaka look across Osaka Castle Park toward the castle. The hotel is in the Osaka Castle Area, near Osaka-jo Hall and about three minutes on foot from both Osakajokoen Station and Osaka Business Park Station.

Park mornings and concert nights are the natural focus. Guests can choose between the JR Osaka Loop Line and Osaka Metro, while larger rooms and extensive in-house dining add flexibility. Namba and Umeda put denser shopping and nightlife outside the door; this location instead favors the park and time spent at the hotel.

Rooms

Superior twin and double rooms measure 30 square meters, though the outlook varies by category. Some face Osaka Castle, while others look toward the city. Deluxe Twin rooms are also 30 square meters and include a castle view. Room category matters more than floor alone.

Groups have several larger layouts to consider. The 40-square-meter Superior Quadruple sleeps up to four and faces the castle. The accessible 90-square-meter Family Studio Deluxe accommodates up to seven and has a city view, separate sleeping areas, and cypress baths. A 60-square-meter Luxury Junior Suite adds separate living and sleeping areas, two washbasins, and a castle view.

Facilities

The fourth-floor Fitness Club has a gym, indoor pool, and saunas. Most staying guests pay for each visit, and users must be at least 18. The outdoor pool operates only during announced summer periods, with different conditions for daytime and evening use. If swimming matters to your stay, check the current dates, fees, and reservation rules.

The Bell Desk stores luggage before check-in and after check-out. A large paid car park is available, along with family support such as high chairs, children's menus, and loan items.

Dining

SATSUKI serves breakfast and casual meals throughout the day. For a more formal evening, the 18th floor has French dining at SAKURA, teppanyaki at Keyaki, and a sky lounge looking toward Osaka Castle. Japanese and Chinese restaurants, sushi, a main bar, a patisserie, and room service provide enough variety that guests don't need to leave the hotel for every meal.

Location and transport

Osakajokoen Station has direct JR Osaka Loop Line trains to Osaka Station. Osaka Business Park Station is on the Nagahori Tsurumi-ryokuchi Line, convenient for Kyobashi and direct subway trips toward Shinsaibashi. From Shin-Osaka Station, the hotel estimates a journey of about 25 minutes with a transfer at Osaka Station. Namba is less direct and generally requires another subway connection or a taxi.

The route from Osakajokoen Station to the hotel includes stairs. If you're carrying heavy luggage or need a step-free route, compare the official approaches from both nearby stations before arrival.

Airport access

A direct airport limousine bus connects Kansai International Airport with the hotel in about 80 minutes. Seats can't be reserved in advance, so check the current timetable and boarding arrangements before traveling. Reserved fixed-rate taxis are another option from Kansai or Itami airports, although journey times still depend on traffic.

Why stay here

An Osaka-jo Hall event, a castle-view room, or time in Osaka Castle Park gives this location its clearest purpose. The two nearby stations serve different routes, larger room categories accommodate groups, and the broad dining range makes an evening at the hotel easy. Stay in Umeda or Namba if immediate access to dense shopping, restaurants, and nightlife matters more.

Osaka Castle Park covers 105.6 hectares, with Nishinomaru Garden, seasonal flower areas, and major event venues beyond the castle tower. The hotel is convenient for the park's northeast side and Osaka-jo Hall, but reaching other entrances and attractions can still require a substantial walk across the grounds.
