Overview

JR Kyushu Hotel Blossom Shinjuku works best for travelers who want Shinjuku's rail network and express buses close at hand without staying in the late-night entertainment core. The hotel is about a 3-minute walk from the South Exit of JR Shinjuku Station and the Shinjuku Expressway Bus Terminal, while Exit 4 for the Toei Oedo and Toei Shinjuku lines is about 2 minutes away.

The 238-room hotel is near one of Tokyo's busiest business and commercial districts, but the atmosphere inside is calmer. Kyushu craft details give the property a regional character, while its core appeal is simple: quick access across Shinjuku and onward through Tokyo.

Rooms

All seven room types are non-smoking, ranging from compact doubles to larger twin rooms and a Universal Twin. Standard Double rooms have a 140 cm bed and a work desk. Queen rooms add a 160 cm bed, window-side storage, and a desk suited to work or trip planning. Superior Twin rooms are 25 sqm and include a table with sofa seating.

For more room, Deluxe Twin rooms are 30 sqm corner layouts and can take an extra bed for a fee. Deluxe Hollywood Twin rooms measure 38 sqm, with a wider window area, sofa seating, and the option to add an extra bed for a third guest. Premium Twin rooms are on the 15th and 16th floors facing Nishi-Shinjuku, with a view bath and a walk-in closet.

Across the rooms, guests can expect pocket-coil beds, Imabari towels, Wi-Fi, and wired LAN. In-room equipment includes humidifiers, air purifiers, and TVs that support casting. Twin categories also have bathrooms with washing areas, a welcome feature if you prefer a separate wash space over a standard unit bath.

Facilities

Check-in begins at 2:00 pm, and check-out is by 11:00 am. Wi-Fi is available in the lobby and guestrooms, and rooms also include wired LAN.

The lobby floor has a contactless baggage storage area available to staying guests at any time. Coin laundries operate 24 hours on the 6th, 10th, and 14th floors. Vending machines and ice machines are also provided, and the smoking booth is on the first floor.

The first-floor mechanical parking lot has 28 spaces and accepts reservations, with vehicle restrictions and fees. Water servers on each guest floor let guests refill their own bottles or the in-room pitcher. Bottled mineral water is generally not supplied, except in Premium Twin rooms.

Dining

Akasaka Umaya Shinjuku is located on the first floor. Breakfast is a Japanese and Western buffet served from 6:30 am to 10:30 am, with last entry at 10:00 am. The price is 3,850 yen for adults and 2,200 yen for children, including tax.

The restaurant highlights Kyushu ingredients and is also open for lunch and dinner, with set menus, charcoal-grilled dishes, and vegetable-focused options. Private rooms are available for smaller business meals or quieter dining.

Location and transport

The hotel is in Yoyogi, Shibuya-ku, close to the south and west sides of Shinjuku Station. From the JR South Exit, walk toward the expressway bus terminal, continue toward Nishi-Shinjuku and Hatsudai, and approach reception from Aoi Dori. The West Exit and nearby subway routes are also manageable on foot.

Within Tokyo-Shinjuku, this side of the station is especially convenient for the bus terminal. The west side leads toward the office-tower district and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, while the east side is stronger for shopping, dining, and nightlife. Staying here keeps those areas within reach while giving you a little separation at night.

Airport access

From Haneda Airport by rail, take the Keikyu Airport Line to Shinagawa in about 15 minutes, then transfer to the JR Yamanote Line outer loop toward Shibuya and Shinjuku for about 22 minutes. From Shinjuku Station, it is about 3 minutes on foot to the hotel. Limousine buses from Haneda to the Shinjuku area generally take about 35 to 60 minutes.

From Narita Airport, the Narita Express reaches Shinjuku in about 1 hour 20 minutes. You can also take the Keisei Airport Line to Nippori in about 40 minutes, then transfer to the JR Yamanote Line inner loop toward Ikebukuro and Shinjuku. Limousine buses from Narita take about 85 to 120 minutes. If you arrive at the Shinjuku Expressway Bus Terminal, begin from the third-floor bus stop area and continue on foot.

Why stay here

Stay here if close access to Shinjuku's transport links matters more than a quieter outer-neighborhood setting. The short walk to JR lines and the highway bus terminal is especially helpful with luggage, early trains, or morning bus departures.

The room lineup works for solo business trips, twin-share sightseeing stays, and higher-floor stays with view baths. In-room connectivity, 24-hour laundry, and guest baggage storage help with longer or more active itineraries. Kyushu design touches and the first-floor restaurant add character, but the hotel's strongest advantage is how easily you can move through Tokyo.

Good to know

Tokyo accommodation tax is paid locally. For accommodation fees of 10,000 yen to under 15,000 yen per person per night, the tax is 100 yen. At 15,000 yen or more, it is 200 yen per person per night.

All room categories are non-smoking, and the smoking booth is on the first floor. Parking uses a 28-space mechanical system, so confirm vehicle size limits, charges, and any reservation arrangements before arrival. Airport and bus travel times are approximate. If you are arriving with luggage, check the best Shinjuku exit or bus terminal level before setting out.
