Overview

Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo is a large, full-service hotel near the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, about five minutes on foot from Shinjuku Station. For a Tokyo-Shinjuku stay, it offers broad rail access, direct airport buses, multiple restaurants, meeting facilities, family-friendly room options, and a west-side location slightly removed from the busiest nightlife streets east of the station.

Rooms

Guest rooms are divided between the Main Tower and South Tower, with Standard, Superior, Deluxe, Plaza, family, universal-design, and suite categories available. Standard rooms start at 23.5 square meters. Larger options include 40.8-square-meter South Tower rooms, a 46.3-square-meter Luxury Family Room for up to five guests, 72.5-square-meter Japanese Suite rooms for up to four guests, and 128-square-meter Luxurious Suite rooms on higher floors.

Facilities

The facilities go well beyond what you would expect from a simple station-area business hotel. Amenities include a convenience store, shops, Sky Pool, fitness room, business support services, nursing room, dressing rooms, parking, bicycle-sharing service, Wi-Fi rental, a tea ceremony room, and a lobby gallery. Guest services also include support for children, anniversaries, and accessibility-related needs.

Dining

Dining is one of the hotel’s strengths, with a wide mix of restaurants, lounges, and bars on site. Options include Super Buffet Glass Court, Chinese Dining Nan-en, All Day Dining Jurin, Teppanyaki Yamanami, Tempura Shun, Sushi Kyubey, Soba Cuisine Fumotoya, Main Bar Brillant, Sky Lounge Aurora, Cocktail and Tea Lounge, Art Lounge Duet, and a food boutique.

Location and transport

From Shinjuku Station’s West Exit area, the hotel is about a five-minute walk via the underground passage toward the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building. Tocho-mae Station on the Toei Oedo Line is about one minute away and can be the easiest choice when the Oedo Line fits your route. JR East services from Shinjuku include the Yamanote Line, Chuo Line, Saikyo Line, Shonan-Shinjuku Line, and Narita Express.

The west-side location is convenient for government-district offices, large meeting venues, Shinjuku Station rail routes, and airport limousine-bus transfers. If Kabukicho and the east-side nightlife area are the focus of your trip, hotels on the other side of Shinjuku Station will put you closer.

Airport access

Direct limousine buses run daily between the hotel and both Narita Airport and Haneda Airport. Rail access is also straightforward: the Narita Express connects Narita Airport with Shinjuku Station in about 80 minutes, followed by the roughly five-minute walk from the West Exit area to the hotel.

Why stay here

Choose Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo if you want a full-service Shinjuku hotel with direct airport buses, strong west-side rail access, many dining choices, meeting and business facilities, and room options for families or travelers who need more space. It is a particularly good fit when airport transfers, Shinjuku Station access, and on-site services matter more than being in the liveliest east-side nightlife blocks.

Good to know
