Gojo Station adds Karasuma Line service for Kyoto Station, Shijo, and Karasuma Oike. The tradeoff is that the hotel is not directly beside the Shinkansen platforms. Arriving from Kyoto Station usually means taking the subway, a taxi, a bus, or making a longer walk, depending on luggage and weather.
Airport access
Airport access is by public transport rather than a direct hotel shuttle. MIMARU lists access from Kansai International Airport by train or limousine bus, and from Osaka International Airport by train or limousine bus, so plan the final local connection to Kawaramachi Gojo before you arrive.
For the simplest airport rail and Shinkansen transfers, staying next to Kyoto Station will still be easier. MIMARU Kyoto Kawaramachi Gojo is a better choice when apartment-style space, group comfort, and the Kamo River side of central Kyoto matter more than the shortest possible transfer.
