Overview
Nagoya Prince Hotel Sky Tower is a good fit when you want a high-floor hotel in the newer Sasashima district, rather than the shortest possible walk to the Shinkansen gates inside Nagoya Station. The hotel is located in Global Gate in Nagoya-Sasashima Live and is directly connected to Sasashima-raibu Station on the Aonami Line.
The main access tradeoff is straightforward. Sasashima-raibu is one stop, about two minutes, from Nagoya Station by Aonami Line, so the city's main terminal remains close. Still, this is a separate district. Plans involving the Shinkansen, Meitetsu airport trains, Kintetsu, subway lines, or highway buses usually require a final transfer or walk from the Nagoya Station side.
Rooms
The hotel occupies the 31st to 36th floors of Global Gate, with guest rooms on the 32nd floor and above. It has 170 rooms, all non-smoking, with separate bath and toilet areas, Wi-Fi, coffee makers, and upper-floor views over Nagoya depending on room type and direction.
Room options include Superior King and twin layouts, triple rooms, connecting twins, corner rooms, and a universal corner twin. Standard sky rooms are around 32 square meters, while the larger corner rooms offer more space for guests who care about room size, views, or a special-occasion feel. The appeal is not simply the building height; the room experience is shaped around being above the surrounding station and redevelopment area.
Facilities
Facilities support both leisure and work-focused stays. Eligible room categories include access to the Club Lounge on the 31st floor, and the hotel also offers a fitness room, business center, parking in the Global Gate complex, and Wi-Fi in key guest areas.
These shared spaces matter most if you expect to spend time at the hotel rather than use it only as a place to sleep between trains. The business center and Global Gate setting help with work or event trips, while the lounge and high-floor environment give the stay a more destination-like feel than many station-area hotels.
Dining
Dining is centered on Sky Dining TENKU on the 31st floor. The restaurant serves buffet-style meals with city views, and the adjoining bar gives guests a high-floor place for drinks without leaving the building.
For most visitors, the advantage is not the number of restaurants on site. It is the combination of views, breakfast or dinner convenience, and easy access to the surrounding Global Gate and Sasashima Live area. Guests looking for a broader restaurant or nightlife district can continue to Nagoya Station, Sakae, or other central areas.
Location and transport
Sasashima-raibu Station is the closest rail point and is directly connected to the hotel. The Aonami Line reaches Nagoya Station in one stop, making the hotel workable for rail-heavy itineraries if you are comfortable adding that short local leg.
For long-distance travel, keep Nagoya Station in the plan. The main terminal handles the Tokaido Shinkansen, JR lines, Meitetsu trains to Central Japan International Airport, Kintetsu, subway routes, and buses. Sasashima-raibu is excellent for Global Gate and Sasashima Live, but it does not replace Nagoya Station as the region's main rail hub.
Airport access
Airport access usually runs through Nagoya Station. From Central Japan International Airport, Meitetsu airport trains reach the Nagoya side in as little as about 28 minutes. From there, travelers continue to Sasashima-raibu by Aonami Line, walk, or take a taxi depending on luggage and timing.
This is not a hotel-door airport shuttle. It is a rail-linked route that works well when planned, especially for guests who prefer the high-floor Sasashima setting over direct adjacency to the airport train.
Why stay here
Choose Nagoya Prince Hotel Sky Tower for high-floor rooms, Global Gate convenience, direct access to Sasashima-raibu Station, and a calmer alternative to staying inside the main flow of Nagoya Station. It also makes sense for trips involving Sasashima Live events, business around Global Gate, or Aonami Line travel toward Kinjo-futo and LEGOLAND Japan.
Good to know
Do not rely on the former Sasashima Welcome Bus for hotel access. That service ended on March 31, 2026, so plan around the Aonami Line, a walk or taxi from Nagoya Station, or the route that best fits your luggage and arrival time.
