Transport access and hotel guide

Overview

Ochanomizu Hotel Juraku is located beside the railway, a short walk from Ochanomizu Station, with single, double, and twin rooms. Nearby JR and Chiyoda Line services let you choose between different routes across Tokyo, while Akihabara is close enough to reach on foot.

Rooms

Single rooms measure 13.5 square meters and have a 120-centimeter-wide bed. Doubles are 15.5 square meters with one 140-centimeter-wide bed, while twin rooms have two beds and measure either 16.6 or 18 square meters. If two adults want separate beds, check the twin category before booking.

All rooms are non-smoking. A women-only floor has a key-controlled entrance and a dedicated laundry corner. Rooms also have individual air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and a bathroom with a combined bathtub and shower.

Facilities

Coin-operated washers and dryers are on the eighth and tenth floors, with separate machines on the women-only floor for guests staying there. Shared microwaves are also available. There isn't a communal bath, so bathing is in your room.

Paid parking must be reserved by phone in advance. There are only seven spaces.

Dining

Akebinomi serves a Japanese and Western breakfast buffet on the second floor, with vegetables and hot dishes. Breakfast runs from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m., and last orders are at 9:45 a.m. If breakfast isn't included in your room rate, you can pay for it at reception that morning.

The restaurant serves breakfast only. For lunch and dinner, cafes and restaurants can be found near both Ochanomizu and Akihabara stations.

Location and transport

The walk from JR Ochanomizu's Hijiribashi Exit takes about two minutes, following Awajizaka downhill beside the tracks. Chuo Rapid trains connect with Tokyo and Shinjuku, while the Chuo-Sobu Local serves nearby stops including Suidobashi and Akihabara.

Shin-Ochanomizu Station is also about two minutes away via Exit B2. Its Chiyoda Line trains run to Otemachi and Omotesando. Akihabara Station is about six minutes away from the Electric Town Exit and adds the Yamanote Line for trips around central Tokyo.

Airport access

From Haneda Airport, take the Tokyo Monorail to Hamamatsucho and change to the JR Yamanote Line for Akihabara. From Narita Airport, take the Keisei Skyliner to Nippori and change there to the Yamanote Line. Both routes end with a walk from Akihabara to the hotel; neither provides a direct airport train to Ochanomizu.

Why stay here

You can walk back from Akihabara's electronics and anime shops, then use the nearby JR and subway entrances for days elsewhere in Tokyo. Breakfast is available in the hotel before you head out.

The Tokyo-Jimbocho / Ochanomizu neighborhood is worth exploring on foot. Browse musical-instrument shops around Ochanomizu, then continue toward Jimbocho for bookshops and cafes.
