Overview

A five-minute walk from Hon-Kawagoe Station's East Exit places SUPER HOTEL Kawagoe between the city's central shopping streets and the route toward its historic district. This compact hotel has non-smoking guest rooms, a natural hot-spring bath, complimentary breakfast, and evening drinks, a convenient combination for a short sightseeing stay.

Rooms

Guest rooms follow the brand's sleep-focused approach, with original mattresses, subdued lighting, and a choice of pillows. Every room has a private unit bath and Wi-Fi, while a refrigerator, kettle, and charging cable cover everyday overnight needs.

Facilities

The natural hot-spring bath is open from 3:00 PM until 9:00 AM. There's time for a soak after an evening out or before breakfast the next morning. Coin laundry helps on longer trips, while drivers can use one of 15 first-come parking spaces.

Dining

The complimentary breakfast buffet runs from 6:30 AM to 8:30 AM Monday through Saturday and finishes at 9:00 AM on Sundays and public holidays. Freshly baked bread and salads made with organic vegetables are regular features, alongside a changing selection that incorporates some local Kawagoe ingredients.

A welcome bar serves soft drinks and alcohol later in the day. Service times can change, so check the latest hotel notice if you plan to use it.

Location and transport

Hon-Kawagoe Station is the nearest rail stop and the terminus for Seibu Shinjuku Line trains from Seibu-Shinjuku and Takadanobaba. Crea Mall extends south through the modern center, while the warehouse district, Toki no Kane, and other Little Edo sights lie to the north. The old town isn't directly outside the hotel, but you can reach it on foot or by local sightseeing bus.

Kawagoe Station, served by JR and the Tobu Tojo Line, is about ten minutes away on foot. It is a separate station, so check which Kawagoe stop your train serves before choosing your arrival route.

Airport access

Narita Airport coaches use Kawagoe Station's West Exit rather than Hon-Kawagoe. Allow enough time to walk to Kawagoe Station and cross to its west side. The Haneda route serving Kawagoe and Hon-Kawagoe is only partially operating, so confirm that a suitable departure is available before relying on it.

Why stay here

After a day in Kawagoe, you can return for a late bath and start the next morning with breakfast on site. The tradeoff is limited in-house dining, since food and drink service consists of breakfast and the welcome bar, although central Kawagoe has plenty of alternatives.

The neighborhood also offers a clear choice of direction. Crea Mall and everyday shopping lie to the south, while the historic warehouse streets, Toki no Kane, and Kashiya Yokocho are to the north.

Good to know

All guest rooms are non-smoking, with a separate smoking area available. Check-in starts at 3:00 PM, checkout is at 10:00 AM, and the limited parking spaces can't be reserved in advance.
