Overview
Guests can reach The Yokohama Bay Hotel Tokyu from the Minatomirai Line without stepping outdoors. The hotel is inside Queen's Square in Yokohama-Minatomirai, directly connected to Minatomirai Station and about three minutes on foot from Pacifico Yokohama.
Its 480 rooms face the city, park, or bay, and many have balconies. Varied restaurants, a guest-only pool area, and airport buses from the main entrance make the hotel more than a convenient station connection. Room views, balcony availability, and access rules vary by category.
Rooms
Rooms start at more than 36 square metres. Regular floors occupy levels 6 to 19, the Yokohama Floors are on levels 20 to 22, and the Bay Club executive floors occupy levels 23 to 25. Twin, king, triple, accessible, and suite layouts accommodate different group sizes.
View choice matters here. City View rooms face inland, Park View rooms overlook Cosmo World and Sakuragicho, and Bay View rooms look toward the port, Bay Bridge, and Red Brick Warehouse side. Many Park and Bay rooms have balconies, but not every category does.
Bay Club bookings include dedicated butler support and access to two lounges. Service runs from breakfast and tea through evening cocktails, with pool entry also included. Suites range from 92 to 183 square metres, so the executive categories differ substantially in both space and service.
Facilities
Blue Oasis is a guest-only indoor pool area with two pools, a dry sauna, and an Active Room equipped for exercise bikes and yoga. Most room categories pay a separate pool charge, and entry may be restricted when the area is busy. Bay Club guests receive access as part of their floor benefits.
Evening pool sessions are reserved for adults aged 20 and over, while younger guests may use the pool during the day with supervision. Reaching the facilities involves stairs and changes in level, so guests who use a wheelchair or have difficulty with steps should contact the hotel before arrival.
Dining
The restaurant selection makes dining inside the hotel a realistic part of the stay. Cafe Tosca serves an open-kitchen buffet and the hotel breakfast, while Queen Alice specializes in French courses. Oshima and Szechwan Restaurant CHEN cover Japanese and Sichuan meals, with private rooms available at selected venues.
Somerhouse is the more relaxed option for light meals, afternoon tea, and Ferris wheel views. Jack's provides a traditional bar setting in the evening, while in-room dining brings restaurant service to guest rooms.
Location and transport
The indoor station connection is the simplest arrival route. Minatomirai Station is about one minute away inside Queen's Square, and trains reach Yokohama Station in about three minutes. Sakuragicho Station, served by JR and the Blue Line, is about ten minutes away on foot.
Westbound Minatomirai Line trains continue toward Yokohama and, on many services, onto the Tokyu Toyoko Line corridor toward Shibuya. Eastbound trains serve Bashamichi, Nihon-odori Station, and Motomachi-Chukagai for the older port district, Chinatown, and Yamashita Park.
Airport access
Airport limousine buses call at the hotel's main entrance. The Haneda Airport route serves the Minato Mirai hotel district in both directions, while only selected Narita Airport services stop at the hotel. Other Narita journeys use Yokohama City Air Terminal beside Yokohama Station.
Bus travel times depend on traffic, and reservation rules differ by direction. Rail provides an alternative: change at Yokohama Station for Keikyu services to Haneda or the Narita Express. Check the current hotel stop and airport terminal before traveling.
Why stay here
The indoor station connection, airport buses, spacious rooms, and varied dining take much of the friction out of arrival days and evenings at the hotel. Waterfront views are central to the experience, but the exact outlook and balcony availability depend on the booked category.
Minato Mirai fills the surrounding hours with museums, shopping, parks, and harbor walks. Cosmo World and the Cup Noodles Museum are close by, while the Red Brick Warehouse is farther along the waterfront. It's a modern skyline stay rather than a neighborhood of historic lanes.
Good to know
Check-in begins at 3:00 PM, and checkout is by 11:00 AM. On-site parking is paid. Pool access, restaurant schedules, airport bus service, and lounge benefits should be checked for the booking date.
The Queen's Square Yokohama Liaison Exit from Minatomirai Station closes between midnight and 7:00 AM. Late arrivals should use Exit 5 and approach the hotel's main entrance at street level.
