Overview
Airport buses are Suitengumae's defining advantage. The Hanzomon Line station is beside Tokyo City Air Terminal, better known as T-CAT, and directly connected to Royal Park Hotel. Suitengu Shrine and Ningyocho's older shopping streets are also close by.
Suitengumae forms an official transfer pair with Ningyocho Station. This brings the Hibiya and Toei Asakusa lines within reach of the Hanzomon Line, giving the area a broader range of subway routes than Suitengumae's single line suggests.
Lines and connections
Westbound Hanzomon Line trains run through Mitsukoshimae and Otemachi before continuing toward Aoyama-itchome and Shibuya. Eastbound trains serve Kiyosumi-shirakawa, Kinshicho, and Oshiage, the subway stop for the Tokyo Skytree area.
From Ningyocho, the Hibiya Line provides direct rides toward Ginza, Akihabara, and Ueno. The Toei Asakusa Line adds another option for Nihombashi, Shimbashi, and Asakusa. Use the transfer when either route better matches the day's plans.
Airport access
Direct limousine buses connect T-CAT with both Haneda and Narita airports. Estimated journey times are about 25 minutes to Haneda and 55 minutes to Narita, although road traffic can lengthen either trip.
After leaving the subway, continue into T-CAT for the bus counter and boarding point. Check the timetable and leave a margin for traffic, especially when traveling to the airport.
Station area
Suitengumae lies beneath Nihonbashi Kakigaracho, between the T-CAT complex in Hakozaki and the streets of Ningyocho. Exit 1a serves T-CAT, while Exit 4 has an elevator and is the reference point for Royal Park Hotel.
This part of Tokyo-Nihonbashi feels more local than the department-store blocks around Mitsukoshimae. Older food shops and restaurants become more prominent as you walk toward Ningyocho.
What's nearby
Suitengu Shrine is the nearest visitor landmark and is known for prayers for safe childbirth. Toward Ningyocho, Amazake Yokocho is a small shopping street lined with traditional snacks, restaurants, and long-established shops.
The Hanzomon Line also provides a direct trip to the Tokyo Skytree area. For a slower neighborhood walk, stay above ground and continue through Ningyocho instead.
Good to know
Suitengumae and Ningyocho are an official transfer pair, but they aren't one enclosed interchange. You must pass through the fare gates and walk at street level between them, so follow the marked transfer route and allow extra time when carrying luggage.
