Overview
From the East Exit of JR Tennoji Station, it's about a minute's walk to Miyako City Osaka Tennoji. Connections to the subway complex and neighboring Osaka-Abenobashi Station keep outdoor walking to a minimum, whether you're arriving from the airport or heading across Osaka.
Abeno Harukas is close by for shopping and city views. The hotel's top-floor restaurant serves buffet meals with a view too.
Rooms
There are several options for sharing a room. Comfort Triple rooms have three regular beds within 28 to 30 square metres, while some twin categories accommodate a third guest on an extra bed. Quad rooms provide 37 square metres for four people. Families and groups should compare these layouts carefully before booking.
Standard Singles measure 16 to 18 square metres. On the 16th floor, Comfort Floor rooms add details such as drip coffee makers and Imabari towels, but the label doesn't necessarily mean more space because room sizes still vary.
Facilities
The front desk stores luggage before check-in and after checkout. That leaves you free to explore before collecting your bags and returning to the nearby station.
Complimentary Wi-Fi is available. Drivers can use the hotel's parking or the adjacent Kintetsu parking building for a fee, though neither accepts advance reservations.
Dining
Sky Restaurant Etoile serves buffet meals on the 17th floor. Breakfast runs from 7:00 to 10:00 a.m., with the last serving at 9:30. Along with bread, salads, and eggs, the selection includes local dishes such as takoyaki octopus balls and kushikatsu fried skewers, plus crab rice porridge as another specialty.
Etoile also serves lunch and dinner, so the view isn't limited to breakfast. The lobby lounge provides another place to meet before going out, while the surrounding station area adds further dining choices.
Location and transport
For JR arrivals, follow signs to the East Gate. The hotel is beside Exit 3 of Tennoji subway station on the Midosuji Line, with direct access from the subway complex. The line runs through Namba and Umeda to Shin-Osaka Station, where you can change for the Shinkansen.
The Tanimachi Line also serves Tennoji. Kintetsu trains use adjacent Osaka-Abenobashi Station instead, so check both the railway and station names when following directions through this busy interchange.
Airport access
From Kansai International Airport, JR's Haruka limited express reaches Tennoji directly in about 30 minutes. The Kansai Airport Rapid is also direct and takes roughly 45 minutes. Haruka requires a limited-express ticket in addition to the base fare.
When taking a Kansai Airport Rapid back to the airport, board the airport-bound section, normally the first four cars. The train divides en route, and the other section continues toward Wakayama.
Limousine buses from Itami Airport serve Abenobashi in about 30 minutes, depending on traffic. The hotel is around six minutes on foot from the bus stop.
Why stay here
A direct train from Kansai Airport, luggage storage at the hotel, and nearby subway lines make arrival day easy to manage without another rail transfer. Triple and quad rooms also let small groups share one room.
Nearby Abeno Harukas has the Harukas 300 observation deck on floors 58 to 60. Its enclosed viewing corridor looks across Osaka, while the 58th floor has an open-air deck. You can visit before returning to the hotel for dinner.
