Publication date:

Choice Hotels Japan rebranded Comfort Hotel Nagoya Meiekiminami as Comfort Hotel ERA Nagoya Meiekiminami on June 24, 2026. The 12-story property in Nagoya's Meieki Minami district has 178 non-smoking guest rooms and follows the ERA brand's focus on active stays connected with local culture and food. The hotel is intended for travelers from Japan and abroad visiting Nagoya for tourism or business.

The rebranded hotel uses an "Urban Creative Stay" theme, with the Comfort Library Cafe serving as its main shared space. The cafe holds 300 books selected around four subjects: history, food, craftsmanship, and daily life. Local craft displays include table lamps made with Arimatsu Narumi shibori fabric and decorative pieces of Seto ware.

Services in the cafe change according to the time of day. Offerings include Nagoya France Petit sweets, a local souvenir confection, and alcoholic drinks from Aichi Prefecture.

The breakfast buffet draws on Nagoya's morning cafe culture and regional dishes. Items include Nagoya specialty sandwiches, koro kishimen, a local flat-noodle dish, and uiro, a traditional confection. Red miso soup prepared as a locally sourced menu item is also available.

Guest rooms are arranged to provide space for two people and include selected bedding and beauty-related amenities. The changes are intended to bring elements of Nagoya and the wider Tokai region into the hotel through its food, crafts, books, and shared spaces.

Comfort Hotel ERA Nagoya Meiekiminami is located at 1-14-16 Meieki Minami, Nakamura Ward, Nagoya. It is approximately an eight-minute walk from the front exit of Kintetsu Nagoya Station.
