TRUNK COFFEE at R Hotel Nagoya Station.

Publication date:

R Hotel Nagoya Station opened on August 1, 2026, near the Taikodori Exit of Nagoya Station. The 79-room hotel is located at 5-6 Takebashicho in Nakamura Ward and is operated by R Hotels & Resorts.

The 11-story property has standard single and double rooms. Its design draws on European stations, metro systems and sleeper-train compartments, using vintage tiles, deep blue finishes, metal details and indirect lighting. Guest rooms resemble private sleeper compartments, with window areas designed around the appearance of a train window.

Beside the front desk, the Front / Lounge is modeled on a station concourse and can also be used as a workspace. Guests are served specialty coffee from Nagoya-based roaster TRUNK COFFEE between 8:00 a.m. and noon and from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. each day. The opening selection is the roaster’s Blend #005. The schedule and selection may change.

A second common area, Platform Lounge, is designed around the atmosphere of a station waiting room. It contains a book collection selected by nearby NAgoya BOOK CENTER, including fiction set in Nagoya, works by writers connected with Nagoya and Aichi, and books on local culture, history, railways, stations, architecture, design and travel.

Platform Lounge also has a JMGO N1S Ultimate 4K laser projector displaying images at approximately 70 inches. The hotel plans to screen content suited to the lounge, where guests can read, drink coffee and watch the projected images.

Other listed facilities include free Wi-Fi, an amenity bar, coin-operated laundry machines and water dispensers. The hotel is five minutes on foot from JR Nagoya Station, served by the Tokaido Shinkansen. It is also nine minutes from Meitetsu Nagoya Station, ten minutes from Kintetsu Nagoya Station and seven minutes from Taikodori Station on the Sakura-dori Subway Line.
